Storing Calendula Facial Toner

Store in a small pump bottle in a cool, dry, dark place at room temperature for up to one week. Or, especially for those in warmer climates, store in the fridge for up to one month.

  • If using for the first time, test on a small area of your skin such as the inside of your wrist to make sure there is no adverse reaction. if they is wash of the toner with water and discontinue use immediately.
  • Make a lavender tea by using water and dried lavender flowers and add it to the mixture as well.
  • Try using organic aloe juice instead of witch hazel.
  • Replace the apple cider vinegar with more witch hazel if you don’t want to use the vinegar.
  • Instead of using calendula tea, you can use plain water if you wish.
  • If using essential oils, do not place the toner in plastic bottles as over time, they can break down the plastic.

Ingredients for Making Facial Toner

To make around 4 ounces of Calendula Facial Toner, you will need:

  • 1 TBSP Calendula Tea – To make this you will need water and dried calendula flowers
  • 3 TBSP Witch Hazel
  • 1 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 10 Drops Essential Oils – Optional – Options include lavender, geranium, Roman chamomile.

Making Calendula Facial Toner

To make the calendula tea, boil some water and add some dried calendula flowers to it.

Let the flowers and water sit for 10 minutes and then strain it and set it aside to cool.

If using essential oils, add them to the witch hazel.

Pour the witch hazel into a spray bottle, then add in to cooled tea.

Add the lid and shake the spray bottle to combine the ingredients.

Gently shake before each use.
