Nine Favorite Things

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week. Can you believe we’re heading into the last week of August already? No one really wants to say goodbye to summer, but at the same time, I think so many of us are secretly excited for fall.

I love this stretch from September through December. September especially feels so magical — the golden light, the trees just beginning to turn, the cooler nights and crisp mornings, and of course, apple season. I could go on and on. It’s one of my favorite times of year.

And the recipes! Next week I’ll be sharing my list of what to cook all September long, so many cozy, yummy dishes. What are you most excited for?

It’s shaping up to be a busy month too. Everyone seems to jump back into action in September. I’ll be in Dallas, New York, and maybe even LA. To be honest, I’m excited but nervous — a little anxious, a little scared, but mostly happy. It feels good to be working on big-picture goals. I’m hoping we can figure out how to make it all come together.

In the kitchen, I’ve started testing September recipes and diving into fall content. With apple season nearly here and football season kicking off, I have so many ideas brewing. And yes, Cocktail-Mocktail Saturdays will be back the first week of October! I’ve already been ordering new glasses in preparation.

And lastly, it’s been so fun seeing so many of you share your love for the Pumpkin Smash Candle and the new Pumpkin Smash Body Butter too! I love that you’re enjoying them as much as I am.

That’s all I have this week. So much to look forward to in the next few months! I hope everyone is feeling that excitement!

Tell me — what recipes are you excited for this September? And what drinks will you be mixing up?

If you need easy back to school recipe, I put together some of my favorite 45 Most Popular Back-to-School Recipes

1. Things i’m Loving.

using non-stop…the Caraway Home food storage set. It’s so perfect and really cute too, Great for leftovers, food prep, and packing lunches to go!

working out…in cute workout clothes! Now that I’m lifting and working in pilates with Melissa Wood Health on off days, I’ve really become excited about activewear. I want to order new “gym only” sneaks (share suggestions!), so I’m on the lookout for those. This week I ordered this Airbrush Better Together Bra. These are my favorite Alosoft Leggings + Bootcut Sweatpant. And while I was grabbing these links, I also ended up adding this Sheer Cashmere Cropped Cardigan to my cart. And then decided to go with the entire look, the Grand Slam Tennis Skirt, and Splendor Bra.

wanting…this very pretty croc-effect leather notebook from Smythson. But is it really worth the price? Target’s notebooks are cute too. And this is a cute notebook from MAISON de SABRÉ.

loving…Boll & Branch! I talk about their bedding often, but with fall coming up, I just ordered another down comforter from them. If I had to tell you to order one product from B&B, it would be their down comforter. It’s my favorite and keeps me so warm on cold Colorado nights.

everything in my cart (low)…a very cute and perfect for fall, large tote in suede. I’d style this with the Free People Most Wanted Cardi and leather jacket. This is a cute cord pendant necklace. And I ordered this Reformation Lindie Tee in blonde, midnight, and heather grey. I probably should have just grabbed the white too. I love the V-neck!

From Zara for fall, a stunning Suede Leather Jacket. But also, this Faux Leather Jacket. Wow, so many good jackets at Zara right now!

The perfect Short Sleeve Knit Sweater and Basic Cashmere and Wool Sweater. Plus, I love this Plain Knit Polo Sweater and Short Sleeve Knit Polo Top too.

My ideal Leather Bag for fall and pretty Leather Kitten Heel Boots.

And lastly, this Denim Jacket and Denim Crossover Button Skort set. So cute with a Suede Kitten Heel or the boots above.

eating…fresh figs. It’s finally fig season! Our Whole Foods received fresh figs this week and I can’t stop eating them. I mostly just eat them as is, but I’m thinking about making a Fig Bourbon Cider Smash for a Saturday night cocktail. Or maybe just adding them to my favorite harvest apple salad.

ordered…cinnamon sticks. I always stock up on these fancier cinnamon sticks before they sell out. I love using them for cupcakes, my Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Latte, or to mix up my favorite fall cocktails.

bookmarking…8 Hotels in Italy and a Packing List for Each Spot. Saving this for our Italy trip this winter.

dreaming of going…San Ysidro Ranch. The prettiest boutique hotel in Santa Barbara. I want to do a weekend here. I’ve never been to Santa Barbara. I would love the Lilac cottage. So cute and sweet! Or the Terrace cottage. How pretty!! I’m excited, and I don’t even have anything planned!

loving…the Studio McGee Halloween home tour. They shared their decked-out house for Halloween so early this season, but it has me so excited. How cute! Do you decorate for Halloween or just fall in general? Studio McGee has a line of Halloween decor that is super cute. I’m also sharing some below!

shopping…the new Staud jean collection. I love the Leo jean in vintage wash.

playing…Monopoly Deal. Have you guys played this yet? It’s basically a quicker Monopoly that you can bring anywhere you go. Fun fact, I love board games, puzzles, and while I don’t know many card games, I’m sure they are fun too!

everything in my cart (beauty)…YOU GUYS! I got the Rare Beauty Rare Eau de Parfum with Vanilla and Caramel, and it is so sweet and delicious. A perfect fall scent with the caramel and vanilla notes. It’s a wonderful, warm, and spicy scent.

very curious about…this HigherDOSE Red Light Hat for hair vitality. I mean, why wouldn’t you give this a try? Easy to use, and you don’t have to do anything. Cool! Also, the microcurrent body sculptor. This is a lymphatic drainage tool, which I’m ALL for. But to be honest, I don’t think I could take the time to commit to doing it nightly. I dry brush every night using this brush, but this would be yet another step! Probably too much, but maybe if you’re doing a weekend “everything” shower! Here’s an article with tips!

pre-ordered…New Again: 100+ projects and ideas to reimagine your furniture and decor. This book looks super cute. Full of DIY projects and crafts, and it looks like it has lots of photos too. My kind of book!

everything in my cart (high)…this off-the-shoulder crinkled-organza maxi dress would be pretty for a fall wedding.

This is my favorite ÉTERNE Boyfriend cashmere T-shirt. I have it in black and off-white. I need to order a new set for fall.

This is a pretty scoopneck dress in midnight or bubble bath. Layer this with a jacket for chilly days. Speaking of fall dresses, this Suede Maxi Dress is stunning and a perfect dress for autumn nights. And the color of this Sleeveless Silk Mini Dress from Khaite is perfect. Pair with this Wedge Mule from Fendi.

If you’re looking for something long-sleeved, the Draped Cape Maxi Dress from Bottega is perfect. The yellow shade is so great!

Oh, these Suede Shorts in Burgundy are cute too. Just add the matching Suede Cargo Jacket and tall boots.
