It’s high in protein, gluten-free, grain-free, and incredibly easy to make. Say goodbye to soggy, complicated cauliflower crusts, and hello to a sturdy base for all your favorite toppings.
Why You’ll Love This NO-FAIL Cauliflower Crust Pizza
- Minimal Ingredients: Just two main components—riced cauliflower and True Nutrition Unflavored Egg White Protein Powder (code HEALTHYHELPER saves $$)—make this crust both simple and wholesome.
- High Protein: Thanks to the egg white protein powder, this crust offers a protein boost not typically found in traditional pizza bases.
- Gluten-Free & Grain-Free: Ideal for those with dietary restrictions or anyone looking to reduce their carb intake.
- Foolproof Method: Designed to avoid the common pitfalls of homemade cauliflower crusts, ensuring a perfect result every time.
NO-FAIL Cauliflower Crust Pizza
- Prep Time: 10 mins
- Cook Time: 40 mins
- Total Time: 50 mins
- Yield: 1 crust
- Category: Main Meals
- 300 grams riced cauliflower (about 2 heaping cups)
- ¼ cup (20 grams) True Nutrition unflavored egg white protein (code HEALTHYHELPER saves $$)
- 3 tbsp water
- Optional: fresh or dried basil to blend into the crust (I LOVE doing this!!)
Instructions
Place riced cauliflower, egg white protein, and water in a food processor. Blend until it stops mixing. Stop the machine scrape down the sides, and blend again until it’s mostly smooth. cauliflower, egg white protein, and water.
Place mixture on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and spread into a circle. Make sure the circle is not too thin as it will stick to the parchment paper. Bake for 40 minutes at 425 degrees. Remove from oven and flip crust onto a plate to remove the parchment paper. Top with desired toppings. Place back in the oven (on a new sheet of parchment paper) to cook toppings and melt cheese.
Notes
Liquid egg whites WILL NOT WORK in this recipe. You need to use egg white protein POWDER. Unflavored. I’ve linked to the kind I personally use.
Tips for Success
- Use the Right Protein Powder: Ensure you’re using True Nutrition Unflavored Egg White Protein Powder (code HEALTHYHELPER saves $$); other forms or flavors can alter the taste and texture.
- Avoid Over-Thinning the Crust: Keeping the crust at an appropriate thickness prevents it from sticking and ensures it holds up under toppings.
- Customize Freely: This crust serves as a neutral base, so feel free to get creative with your favorite sauces, cheeses, and toppings.
Nutritional Benefits
This cauliflower crust is not only a tasty alternative to traditional pizza bases but also offers several health benefits:
- Low in Carbohydrates: Ideal for those monitoring their carb intake.
- High in Protein: The addition of True Nutrition Unflavored Egg White Protein Powder (code HEALTHYHELPER saves $$) boosts the protein content, supporting muscle maintenance and satiety.
- Rich in Fiber: Cauliflower provides dietary fiber, aiding digestion and promoting a feeling of fullness.
Embrace this innovative approach to pizza and enjoy a meal that’s both satisfying and aligned with your health goals.

I have yet to try to make a cauliflower crust – I love pizza dough way too much to sub it with cauliflower, BUT, I need to increase my veggies, so I might look into this as a random side dish or something. Is it crispy? Maybe I could chop it into pieces and dip it in salsa or make nachos out of it. I do have one question, though. Approximately how much is 300g of cauliflower? I don’t have a kitchen scale, so I was hoping you could estimate?
Also – do you process the cauliflower raw or are you supposed to blanch it first? Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I’m new to the world of veggies, LOL.
Yum love cauliflower crust. The flax seed has to be the trick. Can’t wait to try this version!! Great week of eats!!
Legit the easiest cauliflower crust recipe I have seen yet!!! WILL BE trying this 😉 Topping it with some grass-fed beef baconnn!!
I love the flax seeds in this recipe…I had only seen it with cheese so I am definitely trying it this way! I love eggplants, goat cheese, olives, salmon and tuna as my toppings….not all together though 😉 That black rice salad sounds so exotic!!
Your cauliflower pizza crust is perfect! Mine always seems fall apart a little. It’s still good, just best eaten with a fork 🙂
I’m going to try this!! Can you believe I’ve never made a cauliflower crust?!
This looks great! I’ve been wanting to try cauliflower pizza crust for a long time. Can’t wait to try this!
how much is 300 grams of cauliflower?
I’ll have to give this a try one of these days. The last time I remembered trying to make something with cauliflower (besides steaming it) was “mashed potatoes” and they came out pretty bad. Hope I have better luck with the pizza crust.
Been Waaay too long since I had the crumbly , gooood kabocha. I’ve had some awesome crown prince – which I find to be the exact same thing as kabocha , and even some yummy dry butternut, so I can’t really complain. Do you have a way to tell if they’re good or not before buying them?
I’ve made cauliflower crusts before, and I will definitely try yours. I love that it’s simple and has completely wholesome ingredients.
…Just so you know , the minute it turns March, I’ll be here to remind you about those muffins. I want them!
Xxx
Oh man, just reading/looking at this makes me hungry. All this food looks delicious! I love cauliflower pizza crust and this one looks awesome and so easy! I’m going to have to try it asap!
I’ve never made cauliflower crust because I’ve always been a teensy bit skeptical of how it would turn out, but I pinned your recipe to try!! thanks!
OMG this is the easiest cauli-crust I’ve seen yet. Love that it doesn’t have any cheese either. Pin for later. Thanks for sharing!
i’ve never made a cauliflower pizza crust but now that i have a food processor i might just have to try it!
all the eats look delicious as usual!
Needed this recipe, thanks. Thanks for linking up to #tastytuesdays

I have yet to try a cauliflower pizza crust but your looks great, I’ll have to try it!!! Thanks for sharing at Gluten Free Wednesdays 🙂
Sounds great and so healthy. I have thought about making cauliflower crust before because I have to go grain free but the recipes I have seen usually call for eggs and I can’t eat them. Do you know if you can make this with egg substitute of flaxseed mixture? Thanks for sharing on Real Food Fridays. Pinned & twtted.
This is so creative! Thanks for sharing! I’m excited to see what you post next time!

Do you think this is possible to do with fresh broccoli?
Hi Healthy Helper,
I can’t wait to try this. My love for pizza is always crushed by my dislike for large carby crusts. Maybe this will be my solution. I hope you will link up to my #wiaw Party. I’m trying to start hosting weekly because many ladies that used to host don’t do it anymore. Come join!

I am totally fascinated by this recipe – most of the cauliflower crust pizzas I’ve seen requite the cauliflower to be cooked slightly before baking – but yours doesn’t – which makes it one step easier to make! Thanks so much for this recipe Kaila

do you have to cook the cauliflower first??
This is great! I love cauliflower and jumped on the pizza crust band wagon years ago, but I hated how the majority of the recipes you find are half cauliflower and half cheese! To calorie dense for me so my go to crust has always been just cauliflower and egg whites, sometimes I add some chickpea flower. I have never tried egg white protein however so I will have to give it a try.
that is just so cool that you found that egg white protein and you were able to use it for this! 🙂
i have 2 jars of jams and sooo many spices, i need to get rid of them.. i have not been successful with cauli crust but i will definitely be thinking of this when i have egg white protein on hand.
Where you get your egg white protein? I’ve googled it and checked amazon and thrive market to no avail.
The best thing right?
I made a delicious spinach and pea base pizza and will never eat regular pizza after this! trust me the best thing ever.
That crust looks great. I been doing a lot of cauliflower rice so I’ll have to give this a try.
Thanks for sharing at Funtastic Friday.
I have never had much luck making cauliflower crusts, I want to try again!!
Thanks for sharing at #bloggerspotlight!
I can’t wait to try this! I am obsessed with cauliflower anything right now! 🙂
Wow I must try this! Love your new profile picture by the way!
Since going gluten free I miss pizza so much, I’ve never tried this but I’m going to give it a go! It looks lovely and crisp! #brilliantblogpost

I was so excited about this then went out to find egg protein with no luck. How did you happen to have flavourless egg protein powder sitting around in your kitchen?!? I’m also not willing to test the $70 flavorless whey protein to substitute. I feel so defeated. ?
Is egg white protein the same as liquid egg whites?
I’ve been looking at alot of cauliflower crust recipes and this is the only one I’ve seen that says the cauliflower doesn’t have to be cooked first. Why is that? Also, can I just use one regular egg instead of the egg protein powder and water?
Can the Egg White Protein and 3tbsp water be substituted with egg whites? If so, how many egg whites would I use?

Thanks Kaila for the recipe. I am on Whole30 and eat a lot of Cauliflower rice and was looking for other ideas for Cauliflower. This looks like a great alternative and so simple.
Thanks for sharing at the What’s for Dinner party! Hope to see you at the new party tomorrow too!
Yum, I have been purchasing these crusts and they have ingredients I do not want in them. I am going to make my own.
Pinned!
Thank you,
Kippi
Yeah this definitely sounds like the easiest cauliflower pizza crust and am loving you don’t have to squeeze out the cauliflower!! Would love to try this as I now have half a cauliflower leftover, but I don’t have unflavored egg white protein. Think I can swap in my unflavored whey protein?
Hi please can you let me know if another kind of protein powder will work with this? Why specifically egg white protein powder?
Thanks
This sounds amazing! A cauliflower crust that’s actually easy to make and holds up well is a total game-changer. I love how simple the recipe is, and it’s great to see a gluten-free, grain-free option that still delivers on flavor. Definitely giving this a try soon!
