I always love hunting for cozy coastal cottage decor on Amazon and sharing my favorite finds with you! Today I’ve rounded up some recent picks I think you’ll enjoy (some I have and love in my home, plus other items that have caught my eye!).

Follow my Amazon storefront to see ALL my best finds!

A few of my recent happy home discoveries I have and love:

Whale Board // Blue Moka Pot // Blue Range // Blue and White Bowl on Wall // How to Hang Plates on the Wall

Coffee Pot

After many years of daily use, my trusty stovetop espresso pot finally kicked the can. For now, I replaced it with this smaller blue moka pot. It doesn’t brew as much as my old one, but I think it’s absolutely adorable—and just right for a cup of coffee!

Blue Moka Pot // Blue Range // Whale Board

I also used the demise of my coffee pot to take the plunge into trying a real espresso machine. I got this espresso machine (more affordable than many I see online) that I’ve been enjoying for my daily coffee.

On that note...

Simple Gadget

For years in our home we had a struggle using smaller pans, woks and even our moka pots on a gas stove, they always tipped over!  But we finally solved this problem (easily!) with this simple little gadget (not seen above, we just got it but it’s works great!).

Round Mirror // Light Switch Plate

Light Switch and Outlet Covers

I have never liked our white plastic light switch coversso I finally started swapping them out room by room with plates that have a little more character. I didn’t want brass (I’ll explain why another time) but I found some that had a bit of “old home” charm but didn’t require painting or any effort to install. They come in white too, but I chose the creamier tone for our house.

I got these wall plate switch covers and some of these plates – they are similar!

Duck Statue // Vase // Hydrangeas

Duck Statue

I stumbled upon this little duck statue and had to get it–it reminded me of an antique wood one my husband and I had years ago and have somehow sadly lost! This one isn’t made of wood (it’s resin) but looks just like wood. I love him.

Plaid Throw Blanket

I’m so happy with my new plaid throw blanket for fall, I think it’s the perfect color palette for my home in autumn! Stay tuned soon on the blog for a plaid throw roundup.

Indoor/Outdoor Pillows

I thought the scalloped edges of these indoor/outdoor pillows were so sweet, and the green is such a nice addition for fall to mix in with my blue and white.

I shared the details on my new porch furniture in this post, and you can find more of the above porch sources here.

I recently got this set of hurricane glass candleholders. The seeded glass is beautiful! They have a nice weight to them and feel like great quality. The set comes with three in different sizes which are lovely paired together or used throughout the home.

Create a Nancy Meyers-Inspired Coastal Cottage Feeling in Your Home

I’ve been told a few times lately that my style is like Nancy Meyers meets coastal cottage—what a compliment! I adore her movies and the effortlessly beautiful homes in them.

If you’ve ever swooned over the dreamy interiors in Something’s Gotta Give or It’s Complicated, you already know the unmistakable charm of a Nancy Meyers home. Her signature style perfectly blends timeless elegance with relaxed, lived-in comfort.

I recently shared two posts: Cottage by the Sea Style (5 Ways to Design a Coastal Sanctuary), and How to Get the Look of a Nancy Meyers Kitchen.

Today, I’m sharing 7 simple ways to capture that iconic Nancy Meyers magic—with a fresh seaside twist—no matter where you live!

1. Start with a Soft, Sun-Washed Color Palette

Think creamy whites, sandy beiges, pale blues, and sea-glass greens—hues that create a light, serene backdrop reminiscent of Hamptons beach houses. For walls, you can choose a warm white to keep the space soft and airy, then introduce coastal colors through textiles and decor. Or, if you prefer more color, try a beachy blue on the walls and balance it out with crisp whites and natural textures in your furniture and accessories.

Try paint colors like Benjamin Moore Simply White (the soft white I used in my old house, and in the Tiny Cottage kitchen), Benjamin Moore Beach Glass (in my living room), Classic Light Buff by Sherwin-Williams (the warm white in my current house), or Sherwin-Williams Languid Blue (in the Tiny Cottage kitchen).

2. Layer Natural Textures

Incorporate a mix of textures like linen slipcovers, jute or sisal rugs, breezy fabrics, wicker baskets, and rattan accents. These natural layers add warmth, depth, and a relaxed, lived-in feel—while keeping the overall look effortlessly casual.

Details to consider:

  • Woven pendant lights or baskets
  • Driftwood-inspired side tables
  • Light oak or weathered wood flooring

3. Incorporate Classic, Timeless Furnishings

Nancy Meyers interiors often use traditional furniture with a relaxed twist. Think English roll-arm sofas, slipcovered chairs, and antique-style wood tables.

Design idea: Mix vintage and new pieces. For example, pair a skirted sofa with a classic spindle-leg coffee table and add a slipcovered armchair by a window.

4. Create a Charming, Collected Kitchen

Nancy Meyers’ kitchens feel effortlessly warm and inviting, thanks to carefully curated accessories that are both functional and beautiful. Think enameled cast iron pots or a pretty tea kettle left out on display, wooden cutting boards propped against the backsplash, and natural textures like woven barstools or baskets. Include cozy touches like a small lamp tucked into a corner or hanging decorative plates and platters on the walls.

Try this: Layer in cookbooks, fresh flowers, and a bowl of lemons or fresh fruit on the counter!

5. Add Cozy Coastal Touches

Evoke coastal living with elements like:

  • Striped throw pillows or rugs
  • Nautical-inspired sconces
  • Light blue or navy accent pieces
  • Collections of shells (we have shells collected from our beach walks throughout our home!)
  • Sea glass beads
  • Art featuring boats, shorelines, or abstract ocean tones

6. Bring the Outdoors In

Incorporate plants, fresh greenery or flowers (or high-quality faux!) throughout your space to add life and a natural touch. Olive branches, eucalyptus, hydrangeas, or simple leafy plants in ceramic pitchers, vases, or pots create an easygoing, coastal cottage feel.

Tip: Casual, loose flower arrangements instantly give your home that effortless Nancy Meyers warmth.

Blue and White Pot

7. Add Blue and White for Timeless Coastal Charm

Infuse your coastal cottage with classic charm by incorporating blue and white accessories throughout your space.

Details to consider:

  • Navy and white striped pillows
  • Blue ceramic vases or glass bottles
  • Whitewashed wood furniture
  • Linen or cotton curtains in soft blue hues

8. Make It Feel Effortlessly Personal

Part of the Nancy Meyers charm is that her homes feel real—curated, but not over-styled. Mix family heirlooms with curated vintage finds. Stack coffee table books, layer cozy throws, and keep the space warm and inviting, not picture-perfect.

Ideas to include:

  • A lived-in library corner
  • Framed family photos in mismatched wood frames
  • Candles, baskets, and personal mementos that tell a story
