If you’re waiting until Amazon Prime Day to finally buy a new espresso machine, here’s a bit of advice: Start shopping now. Amazon has already dropped hundreds of deals on top-quality espresso makers ahead of its two-day Prime Big Deal Days event, which runs October 7 and 8. Breville, De’Longhi, Gaggia, and Nespresso are just a few of the major espresso machine brands that are already deeply discounted by as much as 40% off.

Among some of the best early Prime Day deals we spotted: our test topping Breville Bambino Plus, the space-saving Nespresso’s Vertuo Next, and Ninja’s do-it-all Espresso Luxe Café, which makes espresso, coffee, and cold brew.

Breville Bambino Plus

The Breville Bambino Plus was named our best budget espresso machine, and it’s 20% off ahead of Prime Big Deal Days. The easy-to-use machine heats up in seconds and pulls a delicious, crema-topped shot every time. It also froths milk automatically. Just place the jug beneath the wand, select your desired foam setting, and push the steam button. The machine takes over from there. If you want to play barista, the Bambino Plus lets you tinker with the brew temperature and time, and you can also steam milk manually.

De’Longhi La Specialista Touch Espresso Machine

There’s a lot to love about the De’Longhi La Specialista Touch. It has presents for nine different coffee drinks, including espressos, cappuccinos, and Americanos; includes a built-in burr grinder that saves specific settings for different beans; and has an automatic milk frother for creating velvety latte art. If you’re a cold brew drinker, good news: The La Specialista Touch also features a cold-extraction setting that yields a smooth-tasting coffee.

Nespresso Vertuo Next Coffee and Espresso Maker

The Nespresso VertuoPlus is one of our favorite pod machines, but the Vertuo Next is almost identical. It makes deliciously rich, crema-topped espresso and can brew up to 18 ounces of pour-over-style coffee. The machine has a sleek, space-saving design, with a water tank positioned behind the unit.

Breville Barista Express

This is Breville’s least expensive all-in-one espresso machine and it was once one of our favorites (that honor now belongs to the Breville Bambino Plus). It’s a good option for beginners with 16 grind settings and a steam wand. If you’re an espresso newbie, we recommend using the included double-walled filter baskets to help ensure you brew to the right pressure.

Gaggia Classic Evo Pro

One of our testers, a former barista, found the Gaggia Classic Pro to be a reliable machine for making morning Americanos, after-dinner affogatos, and espresso shots with “picture-perfect” crema. The semiautomatic machine calibrates the boiler and water pressure but allows you to control the length of shot pulls. It also has a commercial-grade portafilter, filter basket, and steam wand that keep the taste and texture of drinks consistent.

KitchenAid Fully Automatic Espresso Machine

KitchenAid’s espresso machine is packed with smart features that let you create 15 coffee drinks with minimal effort. Its automatic dosing technology grinds beans to the ideal volume and consistency based on the drink you select from the touchscreen menu. It also automatically froths and heats the exact amount of milk you need for your beverage.

De’Longhi La Specialista Opera Espresso Machine

“I genuinely didn’t know you could make espresso with bright crema on top at home until I got this machine,” a reviewer said of Breville’s La Specialista Opera. “The texture of my lattes is smoother and creamier, the quality is better, and it’s so easy to use.” The machine brews five different drinks, has a built-in burr grinder with 15 grind settings, and features smart-tamping technology so you always get an even tamp and consistent extraction. It also includes a powerful steam wand and a cold setting for making cold brew.

Breville Infuser

One of Breville’s slightly older models, the Infuser is similar to the Barista Express but without a grinder. It pulls a flavorful shot and comes with a decent steam wand that operates via dial. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of newer Breville machines, it’s worth snapping up while it’s 33% off.

Ninja Espresso Luxe Café Machine and Drip Coffee Maker

Ninja’s popular Luxe Café machine is a triple threat. It’s an espresso maker that pulls both double or quad shots; a drip coffee machine that makes classic, rich, or over-ice styles; and a cold brew maker that can also make cold-pressed espresso. The Luxe Café automatically grinds beans to the appropriate size and volume for your drink, and has a hands-free frothing system for creating hot and cold foam.

De’Longhi Magnifica Evo

Small and simple, the Magnifica is an automatic machine that can brew seven drinks, including espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos, and iced coffee. “I love the automation, the selection of coffee or espresso, and the frother to perfectly steam milk,” a reviewer said of the compact espresso machine. “I can adjust the grind and bean strength, can use it for hot water, or set it for an iced coffee. Highly recommend.”

Breville Barista Touch Impress

For years we resisted recommending any machines with a built-in grinder, until we tried this one, which includes an excellent one that incorporates hardware by iconic grinder company Baratza. The quick-heating Impress has 30 grind settings, a “smart tamping” lever for a perfect coffee puck, and a superior automatic milk steaming system with presets for eight drinks.

Bosch 500 Series Fully Automatic Espresso Machine

Bosch’s no-fuss machine features an intuitive touchscreen panel with automated settings for crafting nine different drinks. It has an integrated milk frother, gives you the option to grind your own beans or use pre-ground, and can dispense two drinks at the same time.

Apple iPad (2025, A16) for $319 ($30 off)

This is the best iPad on the market. The 2025 Apple iPad (A16) is cute and comes in a few different colors in your choice of 128-, 256-, or 512-gigabyte storage. It has a modern design, USB-C charging, Touch ID, and two 12-MP cameras. It’s powerful enough for most people, and it doesn’t have support for Apple Intelligence (which may be a blessing or a curse). If you primarily use your tablet to watch videos, play mobile games, or do light work, it’ll be just fine (and you won’t overpay for features you aren’t using). Nothing Ear (a) for $89 ($20 off)

The Nothing Ear (a) top our list of the best wireless earbuds. They look super cool, with a stylish semi-clear design, on-board touch controls, and a sleek charging case. They pack excellent sound and good noise cancellation, and they’re downright easy to use. The battery lasts about five and a half hours if you’ve got active noise cancellation on. They also pair easily with both Android and iOS devices. This deal comes within $10 of the best discount we’ve tracked.

Ugreen 145W Power Bank for $66 ($34 off)

Ugreen’s charger is best power bank you can buy for tablets—surprisingly compact for a 145-watt charger with a 25,000-mAh battery. What makes this special is you can actually draw the full wattage while charging, which means this is the power bank for you if you want to charge fast.Wired reviewer Simon Hill notes this is the best lineup you can buy to keep your tablet charged at all times.

Anker MagGo Power Bank (10K) for $70 ($20 off)

This is the best Qi2 power bank out of the many we’ve tried so far, and we’ve not yet seen it sell for less. It has a built-in kickstand, a two-way USB-C port, and a built-in LED display. You can attach MagSafe iPhones or Qi2 phones in landscape or portrait orientation. It’s not the beefiest power bank in the world, offering about one and a half charges for newer phones, but it’ll definitely come in handy if you just need a quick top-off while on the go—especially since you won’t need to bring your own cable.

Apple MacBook Air (M4, 2025) for $799 ($200 off)

It’s hard to do much better than the MacBook Air (M4, 2025). The best laptop has beefy performance, terrific battery life, and is super quiet thanks to its fanless design. It also has support for two 4K external monitors, and the built-in M4 chip allows for on-device AI processing and support for Apple Intelligence. The webcam boasts 12 megapixels, which is an upgrade compared to previous models, too. It comes in your choice of four different colors and three storage configurations. Ninja CREAMi Bundle for $200 ($55 off)

The Ninja CREAMi delivers on a wild promise. It’s a home device that can make ice cream out of seemingly anything. WIRED Reviewer Julia Forbes wrote that she and her husband like to take turns dazzling each other with far-flung ice cream recipes, and recommends it as a gift for newlyweds. Anyway, the bundle with extra ice cream tubs is more than 20 percent off in the leadup to Prime Day, less than the CREAMi alone generally costs. Prefer soft serve? The Ninja Swirl by CREAMi ($350) is also on sale for $45 off.

Arlo Pro 5S Security Camera for $100 ($80 off)

This is a great deal on our favorite outdoor security camera, and you can get in on it right before porch pirate season. The Arlo Pro 5 has clear footage, fast live-feed load times, and smart notifications. Recording at up to 2K resolution with HDR, it won’t struggle in low light thanks to night vision, and there’s also a color mode. Two-way audio is clear, and there’s a built-in siren too. You do need an Arlo Secure subscription to make the most of this camera, but the deal is solid. The multipacks are discounted, too.

Amazon Kindle Scribe (2024) for $300 ($100 off)

Full disclosure: A new Kindle Scribe is coming, but we still think this is worth buying. The Kindle Scribe is our favorite e-reader for taking notes. It works well as a digital notebook and as a way to read your favorite books. With a generous 10-inch display and a Premium Pen (with a soft-tipped eraser on the end) included, you can use it to plan, journal, or annotate. There are some AI software features like note summarization, too. We do wish it was waterproof, or that it had some color features like the new model will, but if you’re in the market for something like it, it’s worth considering. There’s a chance it will get slightly cheaper when Prime Day actually arrives, but it likely won’t be by much—especially considering this is a match of the lowest price we’ve tracked.

Ultrahuman Ring Air for $300 ($50 off)

This smart ring is our favorite without a subscription. Importantly, due to a ruling by the FTC, these rings will no longer be available for purchase in the US after October 21 (though Ultrahuman says existing rings will still be supported). If you have been eyeing one, this deal is a match of the best we have tracked so far. The Ring Air can track your heart rate, blood oxygen, physical activity, and sleep, and it’ll offer insights about changes in your heart rate variability or skin temperature. There are some additional convenient features like a smart alarm that’ll wake you up during a lighter part of your sleep cycle, too.

Baratza Encore Coffee Grinder for $120 ($30 off)

WIRED has devoted a lot of time to thinking about and analyzing the best coffee grinders—because frankly, the quality of the grind is every bit as important to determining how your coffee tastes as the machine you use to brew. What we keep discovering is that Baratza’s entry-level Encore grinder series performs shockingly well for its price range. At a $120 Prime Day deal, it’s punching far, far above its weight. Note this grinder is for drip, French Press and AeroPress. For espresso, you’ll want the Baratza Encore ESP ($200).
