Beyond the Gates Spoilers Monday, July 28th

On Monday, July 28th, it is season 1, episode 99. I can’t believe we’re about to hit triple digits on episodes of Beyond the Gates. Dr. Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson) doesn’t want to hear it, but Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) really needs a favor from him. I wonder if it is about Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) because in the promo, Leslie’s talking to Eva and her daughter says she’s tired of fighting with Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Muhammad).

But Leslie says the fight has just begun because they’re sisters. I don’t know if Leslie has a sister. She’s talking about typical sibling rivalry. I know my sister and I, who’s almost a decade older than me, used to brawl. It was full on. If you have a sister, maybe you’ve been in that situation. Nobody can fight you dirty like your sister.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Kat Confides in Chelsea

Kat tells Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) that she is hiding something from Tomas “Tom” Navarro (Alex Alegria). I wonder if it is about the dirty trick she played on Eva about Ted’s license for the office that upset her dad and put her dad’s business at risk. Of course, if Kat finally confesses to Tomas and he says he already knows about it from Eva, that might really bother Kat, too.

Also, notice that after she gave up her V card to Tomas, she didn’t look happy. Like a young woman in love who was thrilled to finally make love to someone she cares about, she looked, I don’t know, regretful. Let me know what you think in the comments about that look on her face.

So Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) gets together with Regina, the mystery woman that Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) tracked down the address for, who came off the photograph that June carries everywhere. Clearly, Naomi is still looking for answers about June and who the people in the picture are and how she ended up on the streets. I will say she’s looking really healthy. I really like that actress. I think she was a great find for the show.

Exciting Milestones and Complex Relationships in Beyond the Gates Episodes

Tuesday, July 29th, season 1, episode 100. That’s three digits. It’s exciting. Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) tries to smooth things over between Doug and Joey. I don’t know about the wisdom of what Doug is doing because he’s acting like a big man and getting up in Joey’s face when he’s the one who got them into this mess.

Now granted, Joey led Doug down that path, but he could have stopped gambling at any point. He’s an addict and was refusing to get therapy, and Vanessa is just trying to clean up his mistake. At the same time, let’s be real, she’s hot for Joey and doing the hot wifey thing all over town. This is a very weird threesome situation.

June faces someone from her past, and it looks like Naomi may bring Regina around to see her. I wonder if that maybe is her sister. We’ll see. In the promo for this week, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) is wondering why Andre is lurking in her parents’ foyer.

Then, in a Dani moment, she asks if Andre is there to ask Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) for her hand in marriage. Is Dani joking? That’s crazy because Andre was just on a date with another woman about a week ago. I’m guessing Andre may be over there about doing some photos or videos for the Articullette reunion.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Andre Romances Ashley

Also on Tuesday, Andre and Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) are doing something kind of quasi-adventurous. It looks like Andre has set up a little romantic station experience for Ashley. From the romance, her little hat, and the picture of the Shamsay in the background, Andre is pretending they’re in Paris together, and she is all giggly.

I don’t know if Andre is just trying to get her out of her shell so she can date better, but he has had the hots for her for a while. I don’t necessarily get it, but okay. That’s going to be a problem for Dani. Kat gripes to Ted about Leslie and Eva this week. She says they are scheming to ruin their lives at every turn. Kat is so salty. So super salty. I get it. But that’s her sister.

Emotional Drama and Family Tensions in Midweek Beyond the Gates Episodes

Wednesday, July 30th, season 1, episode 101 of Beyond the Gates. Dani is completely stunned by one of her daughters and has advice for her. I wonder if this is Chelsea coming to her about the stuff with Madison and Allison and just things getting messy. I don’t understand how Madison and Chelsea fell in love 5.8 seconds after they met.

It seems a little quick, even in the realm of soap operas. Vernon tries to calm down a very anxious Anita. Vernon was the one pushing for this Articulettes reunion from the start. Anita all along was saying no. She didn’t even want to get on the stage and sing karaoke. Now she’s about to get on stage and really sing again. Obviously, she has nerves. Vernon is going to make this happen for her.

At this point, Anita also really wants it to happen for Sharon and Tracy as well because she’s trying to do a little image rehab for doing them dirty back in the day. Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) is desperate to patch things up with Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) on Wednesday, and he asks his mama Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) for some help.

Family Secrets and Reunion Drama in Late Week Beyond the Gates Episodes

On Thursday, July 31st, season 1, episode 102 of BTG, Tyrell has a deep talk with Vernon. He and Samantha are very upset about what has gone on with their dads, and they don’t understand it. Hopefully, the Dupri aren’t going to tell them about the murder stuff. Dani and Nicole are busy scheming, but for good reasons, not evil ones.

It seems to be about their mom’s debut and their reunion redux. In the promo for the week, Naomi, Chelsea, Kat, and Samantha all talk about how amazing it is that their grandma was an Articulettes, and that it is mind-blowing to them. Mad respect. Meanwhile, Anita is arguing with Sharon and Tracy again. That looks like it’s just right in the moments leading up to the reunion concert.

Season Finale Spoilers: Big Steps, Honest Talks, and the Articulettes Reunion Show

On Friday, August 1st, season 1, episode 103 of Beyond the Gates. Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) wants Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) to take a big step away from the Dre. He’s been cleaning up their messes for a long time. Hayley’s worried about this murder thing, but at the same time, we all know Hayley is working her own agenda.

I feel like she’s trying to cut Bill off from anybody around him who might be supportive. There’s a bigger picture that we’re all missing on Hayley. Many fans have ideas about what exactly she’s up to. Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) gets brutally honest with Ashley, and it’s time for the big Articulettes reunion show. Anita is literally center stage, and it is going to be fabulous.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Zac Affleck is poking fun at the speculation about him being related to Ben Affleck.

Zac, 28, took to his Instagram Story on Saturday, June 28, to share a post from a Hulu viewer about Ben’s interest in playing blackjack, with the caption, “I wonder if Jen and Zac know abt this. secret lives of mormon wives bouta get real crazy.”

In response, Zac, whose passion for gambling has become a story line on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, replied, “Uncle Ben is a legend.”

While Zac is now joking around about the assumption that there’s a familial connection between him and Ben, 52, he was previously more cautious. When The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premiered on Hulu in September 2024, it was Jen Affleck who claimed that Zac was related to Ben and Casey Affleck, saying on the show that Zac’s dad, David Affleck, is second cousins with the famous actors.

Some of Jen’s costars questioned the validity of that statement, including Jessi Ngatikaura, who told Scheana Shay on her “Scheananigans” podcast at the time, “I could see a world where Zac told her that, and she believed it because why wouldn’t you?”

She continued: “I don’t think Jen would lie about that. I really don’t, but maybe he could. I mean, we’ve seen a little bit of how he can be. … But also maybe Ben Affleck’s team’s like, ‘We want nothing to do with you guys.’ So let’s dig and, like, plant this story because Zac is looking a little bad.”

During season 2, which premiered in May, Zac argued that Jen was never told Ben was related to him.

“It’s never been something serious,” he explained. “And so, when Jen started telling people that, I did tell her, ‘I don’t think you should say that anymore. I think that’s probably gonna backfire.’”

Zac said he specifically asked Jen to stop spreading the rumor around. “That is not true,” he told her. “I’ve heard that as a joke. No one’s ever claimed to have some kind of relationship with him besides you.”

Jen, however, stood her ground that Zac’s family members have stated — jokingly or not — that they are related to Ben.

“I feel like if anyone was related to Ben Affleck, that’s something they’d mention,” she told the cameras. “With Zac, he’s just trying to squash it even though his family did tell me that.”

Jen told Zac he was “not going to make” her “feel stupid” and brought up that his grandfather previously said he’d met Ben when he was a child.

“I had heard that. I’m not making you feel crazy. I’m just saying you ran with it when I said [not to],” he told Jen, who replied, “Of course I ran with that! I’m second cousins with Ben Affleck!”

That same month, Jen confessed in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly that she is “still just confused.” Jen went on to joke that they needed to use 23andMe genetic testing to make sure.

Beyond the Gates: Early Edition Spoilers and Weekly Preview

As we always do on Early Edition Day, we start with what is coming the rest of this week to set the scene. On Wednesday, June 11th, Laura Peterson (Destiny Love) tells Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) that she thinks Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) did a great job upgrading several things at the office. Laura asks her boss’s permission to bring Eva in to show her some new things that she doesn’t quite have a grasp on yet. Nicole says that’s okay with her, but she doesn’t want to be there for it. Laura wonders if her boss misses Eva.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Nicole Dupree Richardson’s Doubts About Eva Thomas

Nicole misses the Eva that she thought she was. However, Nicole also says Dr. Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson)’s lies have complicated everything. She just has so many doubts now. After Nicole leaves, Eva shows up later to help Laura with some things. Laura seems super nice. She’s not even holding a grudge. She tells Eva that she thinks Nicole misses her. Eva says she betrayed Nicole and ruined things. Laura tells her not to lose hope, but Eva says as much as she would like to be reconciled, she knows she has no right to expect Nicole to forgive the things that she did.

Leslie’s Panic as Jacob Hawthorne Returns

Meanwhile, Leslie keeps calling Eva. Here’s why. Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) shows back up at Leslie’s place on Wednesday with a second search warrant. She’s very blasé about it. As the cop with Jacob searches her place, she talks to him about her soap opera. Leslie offers him a cocktail. Then the cop and Jacob find the helmet and gloves.

Leslie has a little moment of panic but then covers it up. She says the items weren’t there last time and that it’s very convenient. Leslie accuses Jacob of planting evidence. Then Leslie calls Eva after Jacob leaves. She is in an absolute panic. Leslie tells Eva it’s the end of the world and she needs her.

BTG Spoilers: Anita Dupree’s Journey and Family Drama in Chicago

Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) is meanwhile in Chicago doing her thing with her girls. She calls home to talk to Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis). So, she is in Chicago with Tracy and Sharon. They are exploring their past and revisiting things. Anita talks to Vernon about how desperate she was back then to fight her way out of the projects where she grew up. Anita is missing Vernon but thinks she needs to work through things with Tracy and Sharon and keep doing what they’re doing.

Anita is also grateful that Vernon encouraged her to do this. Then Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and Nicole come by. Vernon tells them what their mom Anita is doing and that the Articulates reunion is happening. Nicole is upset because she needs her mom right now. Dani is there to comfort Nicole. They head over to Dani’s place, and the sisters smash up a whole bunch of dishes and crockery while raging about Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Ted doing them dirty, Hayley, and just all of it — and Leslie.

Chelsea Hamilton, Kat, and Madison: Romance and Business on BTG

Kat (Colby Muhammad) meanwhile asks Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) about the new girl Dr. Madison Montgomery (Kenjah McNeil). Chelsea tells Kat she’s worried that coming out to her dad Bill might aggravate his medical condition post-stroke. Chelsea’s mind is distracted by thoughts of Madison while Kat is trying to talk business.

Chelsea suggests they use her mom Dani’s guest house and move in there together so they can run their business and have a little bit of room and be side by side. There’s more room. Kat worries that Dani is going to be all up in their business literally.

Jacob Confronts Kat and New Evidence Appears

Then Jacob shows up to talk to Kat and accuses her of planting the evidence at Leslie’s place because Jacob knows for sure it wasn’t there when he searched her apartment before. Then he gets a call that the helmet and gloves match the video. Jacob tells Kat, don’t get too excited.

Then Jacob gets a follow-up call that a judge has denied their request to test Leslie’s DNA to match it to the helmet. Jacob says if he can’t get Leslie’s DNA, then this won’t matter.

Leslie and Eva: Family Tension and Plans Unfold on Beyond the Gates

Eva meanwhile goes over to see her mom. Leslie is ranting about Jacob finding the helmet. Leslie actually tries to blame Eva, but Eva says she has no idea how the helmet got back to Leslie’s place and tells her not to blame her. Eva tells Leslie if she hadn’t taken it from Leslie, it would have been there when they did the first search, which is true.

Eva’s mom is crying about Eva not loving her. Eva reassures her mom and tells Leslie she’d never hurt her. After Eva takes off, Leslie is suddenly in better spirits on Beyond the Gates. Maybe she thought of some new, wicked, warped way to try and get out of this mess. She’s clearly scrambling.

Bill Hamilton’s Recovery and Madison’s New Role

Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) does some therapy with Bill as Hayley tells him to stop being so stubborn. Madison joins them in the room and says Bill can’t go home until he proves his progress and that he should be released.

Madison makes some small talk with Bill about Chelsea and Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit). Bill thinks it’s a cognitive test when she’s asking about his daughters, but it’s not. Madison basically asks Bill a bunch of questions about Chelsea because she’s interested.

Later, Madison runs into Chelsea and they sit talking in the hall. Madison tells Chelsea it was lucky that Hayley got Bill to the hospital so fast. Chelsea says she never thought she’d be grateful to Hayley for anything. Chelsea thanks Madison for taking good care of her dad and asks her out on a date.

BTG Twists: Martin Richardson, Smitty Smith & Ted’s Surprise Offer

Thursday, June 12th, Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) may be in trouble when Bradley ‘Smitty’ Smith (Mike Manning) gets a new assignment as a journalist. Ted has an offer that surprises Eva. Kat is setting up Leslie to take a big fall. I wonder if Kat will get Leslie’s DNA to hand over to Jacob. One way would be to get Leslie to attack her and get transfer DNA, something like that. Kat’s pretty clever.

Andre Richardson Pops In – Kat and Chelsea Take Over

Also this week, Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) is popping into Dani’s place feeling quite at home. Kat and Chelsea are there, and he scrambles to cover.

Chelsea & Madison’s New Romance Challenges

Friday, June 13th, Chelsea is challenged in this new romance with her dad’s doctor, Madison. Martin is very worried about his past coming back to haunt him. Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) wonders what Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin)’s intentions are.

Anita’s Past and Vernon’s Role: BTG Family Bonds

The week of June 16th through the 20th, we’ve got Anita continuing her blast-from-the-past voyage down memory lane with her girls. Vernon holds down the fort with all their girls.

Dani Dupree’s Struggles and Bill Hamilton’s Recovery

Dani can’t really tell Kat and Chelsea no to using the guest house, but that puts her and Andre kind of under a microscope and at greater risk of getting caught. And, of course, Dani is still struggling with these residual feelings for Bill, especially now that he’s had this medical crisis. Dani wants to be there at his side. She’s still on that “I’ve been his wife for decades” thing, but Hayley is by his side, so it’s an issue.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Hayley Lawson Steps Up – Leslie Fights Back

Bill’s recovery continues. He wants to be home, but Hayley wants him to get the best care. Even Dani has to admit that Hayley did ride by Bill when she could have just let him croak and cash the life insurance check. Leslie’s at risk but will claw and fight till the bitter end. Hopefully, she won’t throw Eva under the bus.

Nicole, Eva & Laura: Reconciliation Hopes and Jacob’s Frustrations

Nicole and Eva continue to tiptoe towards reconciliation with Laura openly encouraging it. Jacob is going to be furious if the case against Leslie falls apart because of Kat’s interference.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Wednesday, May 28th Drama Unfolds

On Wednesday, May 28th, we’ve got Tyrell messing up his first kiss by accusing the girl of pranking him for a social media stunt, hoping it will go viral. Looks like she wasn’t doing that, so she gets mad and she goes just as Daddy Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) arrives. But Tyrell won’t tell his dad or his sister Samantha why the girl stormed out.

Speaking of storming, Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) is angry after Smitty told him that Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett)’s been talking out of turn. And so he shows up over to the Fairmont Crest Country Club to throw some shade at the lawyer. Hayley does not want to hear their bickering, and she leaves the table for a few minutes. Bill really doesn’t want to hear it either, but Martin just won’t stop.

Bill calls Martin out for being a liar who has not come clean to his husband, Smitty, and Martin threatens violence on Bill. We also have that sketchy dude who was stalking Martin at Orphe Jeans who’s now masquerading as a bus boy at the country club to spy on the Dupree grandson. So, Bill threatens back because he’s got juicy leverage on Martin. And Bill brings up that fateful night, the one that’s clearly haunting Martin.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Hayley Reveals Her Pregnancy News

When Hayley returns, she reveals her pregnancy news. And Martin offers a sarcastic, slow clap. Then he insults Bill and warns Hayley to get away from the bad guy. Martin then insults Bill’s dad and he throws hands. But it turns out that a lot of that was just in Martin’s head. I just don’t like fantasy scenes like that. It just clogs things up.

Anyway, Bill lies to Hayley and says Martin’s issue is about the Dr. Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson) affair thing and the cover up that he did. Martin takes off and the secret spy follows after him. Also, Hayley tells her ex BFF Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) that she has got Bill’s bun in her oven, but she isn’t impressed by Hayley one bit.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Chelsea Rages

Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) is there to see all of this. And Hayley is hoping that they can call it bygones because they’re all family now, but Naomi is not having it. And she takes off with Jacob. Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) is super mad that her stepmomster is having a baby with daddy Bill.

But when Hayley tells her to get used to the idea, Chelsea has a mini meltdown and storms away. So that’s two for two stepdaughters hating on her. And it turns out Bill has already started a college fund in advance of getting Hayley pregnant because of the last near miss pregnancy thing. So they’re excited about it. They could check that off the list, but literally nobody else is down for this.

Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) wants to give Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) back her key, but she wants him to keep it only in case of emergencies. Turns out they’re still dating, but not cohabitating. Naomi and Jacob show up, and Ashley says that they do love each other, but she and Derek just can’t live together.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Smitty Confronts Martin

Meanwhile, Kat calls Jacob and he waits for her at Orphe Jeans because she’s got stuff to tell him. Smitty confronts Martin about lying about where he was gone to and his hubby actually admits, “Okay, fine. I went to see Bill”, but Martin keeps on lying to Smitty about why he went to see him. And then Martin drops the Hayley bomb baby bombshell to distract his hubby Smitty. And guess what? It works.

So Martin and his husband know that Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) is going to blow up when she finds out. And guess what? That’s happening on Wednesday as well. So Chelsea trots over and tells her mom, Dani, that Hayley is pregnant. And Dani is wondering if Hayley got knocked out by somebody else and cracks an AARP old guy joke about her ex-husband Bill.

Then Dani suggests that Hayley is faking the pregnancy for some kind of monetary gain. And then Dani suggests Hayley is faking orgasms too, which icks out Chelsea. She doesn’t want to hear anything about it. Hayley and Bill head home from the country club. And when Bill goes up to make a work call, Dani walks in the door to confront her.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Thursday, May 29th Confrontations and Schemes

Thursday, May 29th, we’ve got Dani wanting Hayley to go pee on a pregnancy test stick while she’s there to witness it because Dani thinks Hayley is lying and faking. Dani warns Bill about making babies with his hussy wife. And I’m sure she’s going to throw shade like she did while talking to Chelsea about Bill being too old for kids, etc.

Doug is furious at Joey, who he now realizes set him up and deliberately used him to get to Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli). And Joey brings Vanessa to his casino and rigs it for her to get a big win. And then Joey takes Vanessa to his office while she’s on that gambler’s high and rips off her clothes. Will Doug find out what they did?

Jacob meets Kat to discuss the ongoing case of Lara being run off the road. And Kat suspects it’s Eva but signs are now pointing more firmly to insane Leslie. And at the law office, Naomi stops by to flip out on Bill and wonders if her dad expects her to throw her stepmomster Hayley a party.

No one is excited about this baby except Bill and Hayley on Beyond the Gates. Leslie tries again to get Ted in the sack. And when she’s got her hands on him this week, Kat walks in on Ted looking way too close to Leslie and totally loses it.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Friday, May 30th Secrets and Stealing

Friday, May 30th, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) worries her past actions will cause future trauma and trouble, but her friend Tracy agreed to talk to the other Articulate about a reunion show with the three of them. Ted wants so badly to reconcile with Nicole. But if Kat tells her mom that Ted was alone with Leslie well, that’s going to be a big problem.

Meanwhile, Eva sneaks into Leslie’s apartment to steal her mom’s motorcycle helmet and gloves to use against her. But will Eva hand it to Jacob the cop, her detective half-sister Kat, amateur detective? Or just keep the goods to blackmail Leslie and try and keep her in line? Her mom realizes they’re gone and she blows up at Eva.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: June 2nd through 6th Legal Trouble and Payback

June 2nd through the 6th, we’ve got Leslie possibly facing arrest because Kat is closing in on her for not only the crash, but the potassium poisoning at the hospital. Jacob is still pushing and investigating, and Eva stealing hard evidence that could indict crazy Leslie are all very problematic.

Smitty keeps digging into Martin’s dirty secret because he knows his husband’s telling him lies. And with Bill getting tired of Martin making scenes, who knows what he might say to Smitty because Bill has got all the power in this deal. But Martin keeps pushing his buttons.

Anyway, Kat’s not going to give up until she takes down Leslie and gets her out of her mom Nicole and her dad’s Ted life once and for all. Doug wants payback on Joey, but he’s got no money, no leverage, no power, no mob connections like the casino owner has. Doug is literally risking his life by pushing back on Joey too hard.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Doug Comes Clean?

Will Doug do the one thing that he can do and come clean to Vanessa about the debt and tell her that Joey did it to him on purpose to make the casino owner look like the bad man that he really is? And by then, since Vanessa shagged him, will she even care?

Hayley was hoping that having Bill’s baby would put her into the mainstream. And get her more accepted in the social sphere of Fairmont Crest, but it might do just the opposite and further alienate her. Dani will make sure she makes it even harder on Hayley.
