Exfoliating Honey Lip Scrub

A lip scrub is a wonderful way to exfoliate the dead skin off your lips. This natural scrub can be easily made in a matter of minutes and is not meant to be used more than once a week.

Just make sure not to exfoliate too hard, as you can damage your lips, leaving them raw and red.

As always, remember to follow this exfoliation with hydration, using a good lip balm or ointment after rinsing off the scrub. This will help your lips stay soft.

It also makes a fabulous homemade gift for Christmas, Mother’s Day or for that special friends birthday.

Ingredients for Making Honey Lip Scrub

To make around 2 to 4 ounces of this scrub, you will need:

  • 1 TBSP Honey – I love using Manuka Honey
  • 1 TBSP White Sugar (you could also use brown sugar if you wish)
  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil ( or another carrier oil such as sweet almond or grapeseed)

Store in the fridge for one to two weeks. As there are no preservatives, what you don’t use will need to be thrown out and another mixture will need to be made.

To Use

Scoop out a small, pea size amount of the scrub and very gently massage it over your lips while leaning over a sink. Rinse off thoroughly.

Hydrate lips with a good lip balm or ointment.

Homemade Natural Calendula Facial Toner http://livelaughlovedo.com/homemade-natural-calendula-facial-toner/ http://livelaughlovedo.com/homemade-natural-calendula-facial-toner/#respond Tue, 10 Jun 2025 23:00:21 +0000 http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/06/11/homemade-natural-calendula-facial-toner/ [ad_1]

This easy to make calendula facial toner is a wonderful way to refresh all skins. Toners help to soothe and hydrate the skin, while the added benefit of calendula helps to decrease skin inflammation like that which is associated with acne.

Toners

Natural tones are a great way to balance, cleanse and hydrate the skin. They should be applied to a clean face before a moisturiser is applies.

The best way to apply a toner is to use a cotton ball or pad that has been soaked in the toner. Gently dab this ball onto your face.

This homemade toner is made using a quick-brewed tea mixed with a few additional ingredients that contain wonderful benefits for the skin on your face.

Calendula

Calendula is a lovely plant to have in the garden with its lovely colourful flowers, but did you know that it makes an excellent companion plant, helping to repel pests, as well as being pollinator-friendly, attracting bees and butterflies.

It is also used in many natural skin care products with its ability to help in aiding with the easing and healing of many skin conditions such as rashes, acne, wounds, scrapes, and eczema. With its natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties, it works to help with repairing cells.

It is also gentle enough to use on babies, helping in the treatment of cradle cap, diaper rash and other skin irritations.
