I’m wondering if we’re going to get a twist where they end up adopting Tate and Sophia’s baby, who is now known as little Tesoro, “the treasure.” We’re going to take a look at what is next for Johnny and Chanel.

All right, this whole ordeal with everything Johnny found out about EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has been really hard on him. This includes the awful stuff about what EJ did to Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and the fact that Johnny is the product of a nonconsensual situation between Sami and EJ.

That led Johnny to hold a gun on his dad. Then, that situation led to an attempted murder trial. He and Chanel have really been going through it for many months now. Not only is Johnny freedom at stake, but that deep fake video made Chanel look bad too. It could have gotten her arrested. Right now, the jurors are deliberating. That means this week, Johnny and Chanel lives hang in the balance.

DOOL Courtroom Chaos: The Trial That Changed Everything

The trial is going to take a twist in Johnny favor at the very last moment, right before the verdict is read. The charges have to be dropped because Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is going to confess to shooting EJ DiMera to save Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) from juvie and more trauma. So, with the trial in their rearview mirror, will Johnny and Chanel reconsider their life plans? Will Johnny decide he’s finally ready to start a family?

Chanel Dupree, Johnny DiMera & The Life-Changing Adoption Decision

They think Sophia’s baby has already been adopted back in Chicago. But Chanel and Johnny also know there’s an adorable foster baby in town living with Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon), Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).

The baby, Tesoro, is of course really Sophia and Tate’s baby. We all know he’s adorable, and Sophia really doesn’t want to take back what she did — giving up the baby. EJ’s reputation was a big issue for Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) when it came to considering Johnny and Chanel as the couple that she might let adopt her unborn grandchild.

Sophia Choi, Amy Choi, and the Emotional Struggle Over Baby Tesoro

If you recall, Amy and Sophia were over at the DiMera Mansion when Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) burst into the room. She pulled a gun on EJ. She was ranting about him kidnapping Rafe. Of course, that didn’t sit well with Johnny because she was ranting about his dad.

This was just more things for him to feel awful about. It flat-out stunned Amy and Sophia, who was desperate for her mom’s approval so Johnny and Chanel would take her baby. Then, Chanel was finally able to smooth things over with Amy.

DA Belle Black (Martha Madison) drew up adoption papers, and they were all ready to sign them. But then Johnny told Chanel he wasn’t ready to become a father. Johnny felt like, with EJ’s DNA in him, he’d be a bad dad. He thought he wasn’t worthy of being a father, which was super sad.

Johnny DiMera’s Fears, Adoption Doubts & Chanel’s Heartbreak

After some time in consideration and a short breakup, Chanel agreed with Johnny they could wait to start their family. But maybe, just maybe, their wait is over soon. You’ll recall Sophia secretly gave birth to her baby and dropped him off at the Salem Fire Station.

Tate and Sophia are both struggling now on Days of our Lives. She’s having a hard time keeping the truth from Tate while he pushes Sophia about never getting to meet their newborn. Plus, time is just about up for Tate or Sophia to reclaim Tesoro before he is put into the system.

DOOL Baby Story: Sophia Choi, Tate Black, and Little Tesoro’s Fate

Javi and Leo are only short-term foster parents, but once the baby becomes a ward of the state, he will be eligible for adoption or placement in a permanent foster home. While I think Javi would love to adopt baby Tesoro with Leo, they just aren’t in a position to do that right now. They’re not married, don’t own their own home, and haven’t been dating very long.

It seems like a long shot that they would get approved. With the shocking end of the trial and the charges dropped against Johnny, maybe he and Chanel will celebrate Johnny’s new lease on life by moving forward with an adoption. In fact, Chanel and Johnny may want to start a family ASAP.

DOOL Adoption Drama: Will Johnny and Chanel Finally Get Their Family?

A couple of things could happen that set it up for Chanel and Johnny to adopt Tesoro. First, Sophia’s time to reconsider giving up her baby has just run out. That means Tesoro should be up for adoption. Chanel and Johnny could just work within the system, and they wouldn’t even know they were adopting Sophia and Tate’s baby.

Or, Tate Black could learn the truth. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) is kind of pressuring Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) this week, and she’s kind of pressing Sophia. So Tate may still be okay with leaving his son with foster parents for now. Maybe Tate goes back to his cousin Johnny and his wife Chanel to ask them to rethink this.

He could ask them to please adopt the baby. That way, Tate can still be part of Tesoro’s life as the boy grows up. Tate can see his son while also moving on with his college plans, and Sophia can pursue all the things she wants to do.

Brady Black, Sarah Horton & the Push for Tesoro’s Adoption

With Johnny cleared of attempted murder charges this week, the time could be right for Chanel dreams to come true. She might finally get to be a mom. Doctor Sarah Horton told Chanel that her latest test results mean she still can’t try to get pregnant herself.

Right now, adoption is the only way for Johnny and Chanel to have a baby and start a family. Of course, a lot of things need to fall into place before adoption talks are back on the table for Johnny and Chanel.

What’s Next for Chanel Dupree, Johnny DiMera & Their Future on DOOL?

In the end, I think it would be fantastic if Johnny could just forget about the trial and put his dad EJ awful antics behind him. Johnny should focus on what he and Chanel want for themselves. They need to focus on how they want their marriage to proceed and think really long and hard about what their future together looks like.

Does their future include adopting? Does it include adopting a baby or a toddler? Or maybe someone a little older? Given how young they are, I would assume they would want a baby. But it would definitely be fantastic if things worked out for all of them. Tate and Sophia would know their baby Tesoro is in a good home.

Johnny and Chanel could make the dream come true of starting a family. Johnny would make his wife Chanel so happy if he agreed they could adopt this baby, whether they know it’s Tate and Sophia baby or not. I think all of this would help Chanel get past her frustration over the fact that she keeps being denied the chance to start a family through natural pregnancy.

Big Changes Ahead: DOOL’s Future for Johnny DiMera, Chanel, Tate & Sophia

We could very well see big life changes for all four of them: Chanel, Johnny, Tate, and Sophia. By the time winter sets in in Salem, we might see a fresh start. I will say one thing: if Johnny did move ahead and adopt a baby, I think it would either push him further apart from EJ because he wouldn’t understand how EJ could make the choices he makes, knowing that it could affect his kids’ lives. Or, it could make Johnny soften toward EJ as he sees what it means to be a dad and to want to protect your child at all costs.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Sarah vs. Xander Custody Battle and Kidnapping Drama

Monday, July 14th. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) refuses to let Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) control her with these little custody games he’s playing. She gets really aggressive with him after she storms into the office. Xander has little Victoria up at work with him. And of course, Sarah’s furious. He took their daughter out of the Kiriakis house.

Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) comforts Sarah Horton. We’ll see if it’s before or after the Xander showdown. Maybe both. Ari Hernandez (Marissa Reyes) and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) argue before Ari leaves for the senior trip. Xander and Gabi have a chat at the office on Monday. She notices that his little daughter’s there with him at work. She probably thinks that’s cute.

Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) still can’t pay his debts and he knows the girls are at risk because of him. Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) has a nice moment with her grandma Maggie before she leaves for the senior camping trip. Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Holly are kissing. Looks like they’re going to see each other there. Doug and Ari kiss. He’s going to see her when she gets back. But things go off the rails and masked gunmen kidnap the girls. They won’t ever make it out to the lake.

Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) are out for a walk with foster baby Torto when they run into Sophia, who is still faking pregnant. Sophia writes a letter to the son she dropped at the fire station. And it seems she figures out real quickly that Leo and Javi have her son, so she knows that the little boy is safe. The letters she writes says that she loves him and that’s why she had to give him up.

Johnny’s Trial and Gwen’s Return to the DiMera Mansion: Days of Our Lives Spoilers

Tuesday, July 15th, District Attorney Belle Black (Martha Madison) gets a suggestion from defense attorney EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). I wonder if he’s going to ask her to drop the charges on Johnny because of the incriminating video of Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens). That’s not going to happen, though. Meanwhile, Johnny is there for Chanel, and he hates that she’s been accused. They each are quite certain the other is innocent. Johnny’s actually ready to go to jail to protect her.

Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) spends time at the DiMera mansion with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), who is surprised to find out Gwenny is still married to Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera (Peter Porte). I’d like to see him back. He was such a hottie, by the way. Ari and Holly are tossed into a small room and threatened that if Doug doesn’t pay up, looks like they are doomed. And Tate realizes that Holly going missing is Doug’s fault. And he demands to know what happened to his girlfriend.

Days of Our Lives: FBI Investigation, Kidnapping Fallout, and Sophia’s Lies

Wednesday, July 16th, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) has a surprise for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). And Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is working with Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) on the joint FBI/ISA investigation into EJ. Looks like Patch (Stephen Nichols) may be involved with this too, perhaps at Kayla Brady’s (Mary Beth Evans) request.

So, Rafe fills in Cat on many of the sins of EJ’s past. I mean, frankly, he can’t lay them all out. There’s really too many to go into. Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary) asks Cat to hang out with him and his dad Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) while they’re out playing together, but Cat may feel funny about taking him up on that offer.

Days of Our Lives: Gwen Wants to Come Back

Gwen asks EJ if she can move back into the DiMera mansion. She is an in-law after all. Her husband Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera (Peter Porte) is EJ’s nephew because Dimitri is Megan Hathaway’s (Miranda Wilson) son. So, it looks like EJ may let Gwen move back in, but only if she does something for him. Everything comes at a price with EJ. We all know that. Xander has a hard time calming down fussy Victoria at the office. I wonder if Gabi might help him out.

Thursday, July 17th, we’ve got Sophia still faking her pregnancy this week, and she’s telling even more lies to her mom, Amy Choy (Shi Ne Nielson. Plus, Tate and Doug get into a physical confrontation over the girls’ kidnapping. Looks like Tate is ready to smash Doug’s face in, and Gabi finds out her daughter Ari was taken.

And I wonder if she’s going to immediately call Jack Junior (JJ) Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) like she does, you know. I wonder if he’s going to think she’s crying wolf because last time she was out hooking up with somebody. The girls are really scared and Holly and Ari desperately hope someone finds them soon before something bad is done to them.

EJ and Belle select jury members for Johnny’s criminal trial. EJ really wants to avoid all this. He doesn’t want Johnny facing these charges. And he tells Belle if he could just remember that night and remember who really shot him, that that would prove that Johnny is innocent once and for all. And Belle has a suggestion for EJ on how to get his memories back on Days of Our Lives.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Rescue Mission, Relationship Drama, and Trial Twists

Friday, July 18th, Sophia loses her nerve. Maybe it’s about dropping off the letter. Maybe it’s about her fake adoption scheme. Things get even more awkward for Cat and Chad on Friday. And the search kicks off for the missing girls. Ari and Holly just need to stay safe till they’re found, but bad men with guns have them. Rafe is there with Doug and Tate, who are very worried.

And I wonder if Rafe is going to wind up arresting the gangster kidnappers, which might actually solve Doug’s problem without him having to pay off the exorbitant interest. Xander comforts Gabi. She is very upset about Ari being missing. They have a big hug up at the office and I wonder if this starts a little a little something between Xander and Gabi. There is a kiss coming between them pretty soon.

Days of Our Lives: Future Spoilers, Custody Battles, and Shocking Revelations

The week of July 21st through the 25th, we should see Holly and Ari found unharmed, but the question is, will Doug come out unscathed? Because Tate’s going to be flinging accusations. And I’m sure Doug is going to have to come clean. You know, Holly knew some of the issues, but she doesn’t know about this follow-up issue, probably because he didn’t want her paying his debt for him or anything.

Gwen faces more pressure about giving back Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) necklace, the Horton diamonds. And of course, as far as Gwen is concerned, she paid for him. They’re hers. A custody battle kicks off between Xander and Victoria. Unless they can find some middle ground. Right now, it seems unavoidable. Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) and Gabi are going to get busy plotting once her daughter is home safe. Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) keeps annoying Xander, but I’m sure they’re going to find a path forward soon.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Johnny’s Trial Begins

Johnny’s trial is officially going to begin. We are going to have Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Rachel Black (Alice Halsey), Paulina Price (Jackee Harry), and others on the stand. And Marlena may get EJ on her couch for some hypnosis. This may be what Belle suggested to help EJ recover his memories of who shot him. It’s not Johnny. It’s not Chanel. We’re back to you. Looks like it is little Rachel. The leaker has been spot on with everything else. And they told me this back in like February, I think that Rachel picked up the gun that Johnny left behind and shot her uncle EJ.

And of course, Rachel is going to be very stressed out about going into court and testifying. Kristen’s worried about her. It’s not entirely clear if Rachel is deliberately letting Johnny go down or if she’s so traumatized by the shooting, maybe she forgot it. Gwen has a task to work on. Looks like she needs to foil Rafe, Cat and others who are investigating EJ’s finances. Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) is back soon to support Johnny as he faces criminal charges. Plus, Sami needs to offer Marlena condolences on the loss of John Black (Drake Hogestyn).

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Gabby and Ari’s Sweet Moment & Johnny’s Arrest

So on Monday, June 30th, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Ari have a very nice mother-daughter moment, which is very sweet since she generally doesn’t want to give Gabby the time of day. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) discuss their worries about Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), who is started on Friday. It carries over onto Monday’s episode.

EJ insists that Johnny did not shoot him, but Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) goes ahead and she arrests Johnny anyway. Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) rushes out of Sweet Bits in time to hear from her husband Johnny that he is being arrested for EJ’s attempted murder.

Paulina’s Mayoral Powers & Rafe’s Disagreement in Days of Our Lives

So Chanel then goes running to her mama, Mayor Paulina Price (Jackee Harry), and she may be trying to push her to use her mayoral powers to get the charges dropped. Obviously, Jada got that info from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and I’m sure she discussed it with district attorney Belle Black (Martha Madison).

But you know, Belle has a lot of conflicts of interest since Johnny is her nephew, and she’s sleeping with his dad, the murder, attempted murder victim. So, Rafe, meanwhile, isn’t very happy with Jada.

It looks like he thinks she arrested Johnny without enough proof. He’s not her boss anymore and he shared the anonymous info, you know, about Gabi overhearing it. And that just doesn’t seem like enough to go and arrest him on Days of our Lives. So, we’ll see. Johnny looks like he’s back out. So, I don’t know if they’re forced to drop the charges or at least give him bail.

July 1st Spoilers: Mob Debt Collectors, Brady & Kristen’s Disagreement & Chanel’s Blame Game

Tuesday, July 1st, Ariana has some questions for Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). He’s obviously worried about the photos that he was mailed by the mobbed up debt collectors. I wonder if he’s gonna cut ties and dump Ari to try and protect her from the bad guys. Plus, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) disagree about Rachel Black (Alice Halsey).

They never ever agree about their daughter. And I suspect this is about Johnny, what she saw him being arrested and whether Rachel could be called in to testify because really she’s the only witness that had Johnny with the gun in his hand and EJ’s denying it.

So Chanel is bickering with EJ. Obviously, Chanel’s going to blame all the bad things that have befallen her and the man she loves, Johnny, on his awful dad, EJ, because the only reason Johnny held a gun on him was because of the whole him raping his mom, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) thing. Plus, Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) updates Tate Black (L1eo Howard).

And I wonder if it is about DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) bailing as her lawyer. And I wonder if Sophia I don’t think she knows that it was Brady that threatened her. I’m trying to remember. I don’t think she does. Maybe just Melinda backed off because Brady did threaten her, which is insane because she was the only lawyer willing to take on this case without any kind of retainer.

Days of Our Lives: Sophia’s Secret Birth & Maggie Comforts Sarah

Wednesday, July 2nd, Sophia absolutely freaks out when she goes into labor. Looks like she is alone at home and she gives birth right there in her bedroom. However, Sophia doesn’t want anybody, but especially Tate, to know that she gave birth. She doesn’t want them to see the baby until she gets the adoption sorted out because she thinks Tate’s going to back out of the adoption and that’s a problem for her.

So, it looks like Sophia may actually leave her newborn baby at the fire station because that same day, Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) heads home with a baby and he and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) are fussing over it. And I don’t know where else he would get a newborn baby, just randomly. And Javi is working at the fire station. Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) gets Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to open up to her.

Obviously Sarah’s upset about Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and his demands to see Victoria, which of course he’s going to demand that Mama Maggie is there to comfort Sarah. She’s not happy with Xander either. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) has an update for Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), and I wonder if it’s about the family necklace or Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) or some other issue.

Holly & Tate Reunite, Xander & Maggie Argue & Sophia Needs Help

Thursday, July 3rd. Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) is happy as she and Tate reunite romantically, but don’t forget Holly was looking at colleges overseas. So, is that still the case? Because Tate was looking at local and you know, are either of them going to notice that Sophia is, I don’t know, got a pillow under her shirt now since she’s given birth and it seems like she wants to delay people finding out.

Xander and Maggie are arguing and it’s very tense. Obviously, it’s about Victoria and Sarah. And of course, Maggie doesn’t care that Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) claims that Xander didn’t beat him. She’s quite certain he did. Everybody really knows he did it, but they can’t do anything since Philip is covering for him.

Sophia really, really needs Melinda’s help, and I think Sophia may tell her she gave birth and ditched the baby. Brady comforts Sarah, and there is more of this dynamic to come as she remains estranged from Xander.

Days of Our Lives July 4th Spoilers: EJ Supports Johnny & Belle Receives a Memory Card

Friday, July 4th is a holiday, but we’re still gonna have a brand new episode of Days of Our Lives. So, we’ve got EJ supporting Johnny and he is vowing to keep his son out of prison. But, of course, Johnny is wondering if EJ is going to do something crazy. Chanel doesn’t like this and she thinks Johnny has made a deal with the devil by bargaining with his dad.

And Chanel is really upset about Johnny and what’s happening. And her stepdad, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), is there for her. Belle Black gets the hidden cameras memory card sent to her anonymously and then she makes Paulina a promise. And I wonder if she’s vowing to make sure that Johnny won’t go down unless he’s clearly guilty.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Kristen and Brady go to Marlena

Belle needs to recuse herself because that is the son of her boyfriend and he’s accused of shooting her boyfriend. She can’t be the DA on this case. I hope they’re not going to do that. And I also am wondering who sent Belle the memory card. Was it Rachel? Was it Kristen? I mean, it doesn’t look good for Johnny since it shows him at the mansion holding the gun on his dad, even though it doesn’t show him pulling the trigger on EJ.

Kristen and Brady go to Marlena for advice about Rachel, and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) tries to talk Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) into something, and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) asks her point blank if Stephanie is the one who wrote the dirty book that Alex wants her to publish at Titan.

Days of Our Lives July 7-11: EJ’s Shooter Trial, Gwen’s Return & Sophia’s Secret

July 7th through the 11th, EJ’s shooter case is just getting started. Johnny’s going to be the first accused, but not the last. There’s going to be a a whole summer trial thing. And of course, it still looks like Rachel Black may have actually done the deed. Sami is heading for Salem soon. She needs to see Marina and offer her condolences on John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) passing.

And Sami’s also going to want to check in on Johnny about this arrest. Xander won’t back down about Victoria and Philip and Xander are busy trying to revive struggling Titan Deth. Gwen is back in Salem and it looks like she’s got money that she got from somewhere, maybe from Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera’s (Peter Porte) family and an agenda.

According to our leaker, Gwen is excited to hear that Xander’s marriage is crushed and she wants another shot at Xander, but it’s probably not going to work out that way. And there’s something that happened while she was away that put her in an unusual position. We’re also going to have fallout from Sophia’s decision to hide that she gave birth. Doug’s debt collectors are not going to give up either.
