Love at first bite! Chef Daniele Uditi of celebrity hot spot Pizzana in California and Texas opened a supper club in Los Angeles, California, which has amassed a waitlist of over 6,000 people.

The food expert, who is known for his tasty Neapolitan pizza loved by Jennifer Garner, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kelly Clarkson, Henry Golding, Kirsten Dunst, James Corden, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carrell, and Usher, created Le Le Dinner Club to offer an immersive dining experience for foodies.

Uditi transformed a warehouse — located at a secret location — into an intimate dinner party scene, where diners are transported into to a space reminiscent of his home in Italy.

“I wanted to serve the same food I grew up eating. … Expect to be welcomed into a setting that recreates the feeling of a Southern Italian family home, where the grandma is in the kitchen stirring the pot and trying to feed you until you can’t eat another bite,” he tells ET.

And you certainly won’t leave hungry after enjoying a nine-course meal filled with focaccia, crudo, pasta, fish, steak, and dessert, all accompanied with specialized wine pairings from sommelier Ferdinando Mucerino

You might even find yourself breaking bread with stars like Tiffani Amber Thiessen and Terry Crews, who have been spotted at the eatery.

“There’s a strong sense of community because you sit at a table with other people you’ve never met. … People love it because it’s not just about the food; it’s food with a story, and you become part of that story for the night,” he explains.

Regardless of where you’re seated, you’ll see Udiiti’s culinary skills up-close and get the chance to step into his kitchen to break footlong tubes of pasta for one of his signature dishes.

“To me, everyone who comes to LELE is a celebrity. … Everything is available in front of you, and you have the freedom to not just eat, but to have a heartfelt conversation with someone who genuinely cares about making sure you’re full and happy,” he shares.

Dorothy Parker once said that Los Angeles was 72 suburbs in search of a city: It’s spread out in pockets that have all grown up, in their own way. And that sentiment is at the heart of the best restaurants in Los Angeles, and part of what has allowed LA to climb to the top of everyone’s list of dining destinations in the past decade. Few cities in the world can hit so many home runs with a plethora of diverse cuisines, and at so many different points of entry and price points. Meaning: You’re likely to be blown away by that $8 taco prepared in a food truck parked at a busy intersection as you are by the $250, reservation-only tasting menu. Were it not for the fact that you might have to sit in traffic for an hour in between meals, it might just be the platonic ideal of a food city—and there’s something to behold in every part of town. Here, the best restaurants in Los Angeles.

How we choose the best restaurants in Los Angeles

Every restaurant on this list has been selected independently by Condé Nast Traveler editors and reviewed by a local contributor who has visited that restaurant. Our editors consider both high-end and affordable eateries, and weigh stand-out dishes, location, and service—as well as inclusivity and sustainability credentials. We update this list as new restaurants open and existing ones evolve.
