Our boys have been interested in learning about musical instruments since they picked up a book at the library about orchestras. After reading this book, I made these musical instrument cards to help them learn the name of many instruments.

Included in these cards, are the music families: strings, brass, woodwind and strings.

There are cards for many instruments within each of these four families as well as some extra cards like the conductor and one for a music stand.

These cards can be used to match the instruments, as well as placing the instruments into their music families. For durability, I recommend laminating them.

Learn more about famous music composers with these printable composer booklets. These easy to create printable booklets are no-prep booklets that children will love to create.

Composer Booklets

Just print and pass these no-prep composer booklets out to your students / children. 

To complete them, children will need some books or the internet to research the composer before filling in the booklets with the information they have learned.

In each booklet, children will complete:

• There name and colour in the musician on the front cover
• The next page contains details on the date of birth and death of the composer. It also contains a map of the place they were born and died. Children can decorate the map, add places to the map or write more information about the composer around the map.
• On the third page is a picture of the composer and room for children to write some interesting facts about the composer that they find out as they research them.
• The back page contains an area for children to write some sentences about the life and the compositions of the composer.
