Days of Our Lives thrills as Theo Carver (Louis Tomeo) has hit the ground running since his return to Salem. But his mental health seems to be suffering. He recently had a PTSD incident during a blackout when he encountered JJ Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), which was very unpleasant. This leads us to wonder: is Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) somehow behind all of this?

Let’s dive into whether there’s an agenda against JJ, cooked up by Tony, or perhaps it’s not really Tony at all. That remains to be seen based on recent actions, as it might actually be Andre DiMera (also Thaao Penghlis). We’ll discuss that as well.

Days of Our Lives: Theo’s PTSD and Job Offer

Since Theo’s return, his PTSD and a job offer from Tony have taken center stage. We’ve already seen Theo approach Police Commissioner Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) expressing shock that she would rehire JJ after he quit the force eight years ago. If you recall, Theo had a long road to recovery and had to learn to walk again after JJ shot him, which led to JJ quitting as a cop.

There’s something rather strange about the timing of Theo’s attempts to get his former friend fired from the Salem Police Department. Oddly enough, JJ and Theo grew close after the shooting while living in South Africa, even running a business together. Now, it’s a complete 180. And Theo is livid that JJ didn’t consult him before rejoining the Salem PD.

Tony’s Influence and Theo’s Past on DOOL

We also know that Tony asked Theo to come back to Salem and immediately offered him a great job. We don’t have all the details about this offer or if it’s dodgy in some way. This makes us wonder if Tony is behind Theo’s push to get JJ fired from the police department. In case you forgot, let’s quickly recap that terrible night in Salem.

JJ, a rookie cop at the time, shot and nearly killed Theo. Back in 2017, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) convinced Theo, a computer whiz kid, to help her investigate who was hacking into the DiMera Enterprises computer system. Theo wasn’t thrilled but eventually agreed.

Days of Our Lives: The Shooting Incident

While hunting down the suspected hacker, Theo attempted to break into a building as part of the scheme but accidentally set off an alarm. Theo, who is on the spectrum, was freaked out by the alarm and ran away. Newbie cop JJ saw a guy in a hoodie fleeing what he assumed was a crime scene.

As a rookie, JJ got trigger-happy, shot first. And didn’t ask questions.JJ was shaken to his core when he realized he had shot Theo. Feeling he couldn’t trust himself, JJ abruptly quit the police force. After being shot, Theo was in a coma for about a month. Upon waking, he was paralyzed. This was a real tragedy.

Recovery, Forgiveness, and Shifting Fan Perceptions on DOOL

Days of Our Lives wrote Theo out for a while. And he left for a specialized rehab center in South Africa to relearn to walk. Eventually, Theo forgave JJ for the shooting. And they became roommates and best buddies in South Africa.

At the time, Days of Our Lives didn’t deeply explore racial bias or profiling in this shooting. Currently, some fans dislike the direction they feel this storyline is taking. However, there could be more to this than meets the eye. And what fans assume is happening might not be the story’s focus.

Days of Our Lives: DiMera’s Dirty Business and Andre’s Potential Return

Days of Our Lives often covers social justice topics and “ripped from the headlines” issues. But the nine-month tape-to-air delay can sometimes throw things off-kilter. This delay might not be the reason this story is being revisited; it could be less about current events and more about DiMera’s dirty business.

If you listen regularly, you might recall our theory that Tony isn’t himself – that it’s his evil doppelganger, Andre. While Abigail Deveraux (AnnaLynne McCord) supposedly killed Andre years ago, death is rarely final in Salem, especially with Dr. Rolf’s ability to resurrect people, particularly DiMeras. It’s plausible that Andre is alive and convincingly impersonating Tony, something he’s done before. Andre would be the type to encourage his nephew, Theo, about JJ, who shot him, once again wearing a badge and carrying a gun.

Clarification on PTSD and Racial Profiling on Days

I want to be clear: I’m not making light of Theo’s PTSD from the shooting, nor am I saying racial profiling doesn’t happen – we know it does. We all saw Theo’s recent reaction when JJ stopped him for a curfew violation during Salem’s blackout. It seemed odd that JJ was talking about stopping looting when there were no signs of it, especially in a small town like Salem.

Days of Our Lives: Tony’s Return Offer and Theo’s Actions

It’s also interesting that Tony brought Theo back with a tantalizing job offer. Even before the blackout incident where JJ triggered Theo’s PTSD, Theo was already trying to get JJ fired, which is why he went to Jada. This might all be a coincidence, or it could be a storyline yet to fully unfold.

Andre’s Motives and a Darker Path Ahead?

If Tony is indeed Andre, it wouldn’t be out of character for him to want JJ fired for a specific reason. Andre might be planning to use Theo for borderline illegal DiMera business and doesn’t want JJ catching Theo in the act, as their past friendship might lead JJ to take special notice.

We’ll have to see what happens and whether this Theo versus JJ conflict and the callback to Theo’s shooting story will be a social commentary or a dark deal that’s about to unfold. Stay tuned!

And fans, along with other characters on the show, have observed that Tony is far more vindictive than usual. This has us asking: could Tony’s brother, Andre DiMera (also Thaao Penghlis), miraculously be back from the dead to wreak havoc on the good people of Salem?

Days of our Lives: Andre DiMera’s Potential Return and Tony’s Shifting Business Acumen

We’ve got a lot to unpack regarding Tony. The Days of Our Lives writers have been subtly hinting at both Andre and Tony lately. Could Andre the master manipulator, actually be alive and posing as his brother?

For years, Tony wanted nothing to do with his late father Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) business dealings. Largely staying away from the corporate scheming his siblings were involved in. We’ve seen Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) particularly engaged in a lot of plotting regarding DiMera Enterprises. But not Tony.

However, Tony has recently enlisted Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) to spy on the Kiriakis brothers, promising her the CEO seat of DiMera if they can reclaim the family business. Simultaneously, Tony extended an executive job offer to his nephew, Theo Carver (Tyler Andrews). Potentially positioning him as CEO instead of Gabi.

It’s likely the DiMeras would prefer a family member in the CEO seat over an ex-in-law like Gabi. After obtaining information from Gabi about a forged Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) letter, Tony decided to make a significant move. He wanted to regain control of DiMera and seize Titan from Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier).

Days of our Lives: The DiMera-Kiriakis Rivalry and Tony’s Uncharacteristic Behavior

Recall that Xander and Philip orchestrated a takeover by charming DiMera board member Wendy (Victoria Grace). This was when the DiMera family was experiencing internal turmoil. Titan and DiMera have been rivals for decades, ever since the late Stefano and the late Victor ran these multinational corporations.

Longtime viewers know that both Stefano and Victor engaged in seriously shady business practices, which is why Tony initially distanced himself from the family business, content with his soulmate Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) and letting others fight over the inheritance.

Suddenly, Tony has had a change of heart. His brothers, EJ and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), have commented on Tony’s renewed interest in reacquiring DiMera, noting how out of character it seems. Meanwhile, Xander (Paul Telfer) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) are scrambling to hold onto Titan.

Initially, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) considered accepting Tony’s substantial cash offer and relinquishing the family business, which he views as a curse. He almost convinced Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) to agree. But Xander, Philip, and Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) disagreed.

Maggie even confronted Tony, accusing him of being vicious and underhanded, echoing the sentiment that Tony’s current actions are highly uncharacteristic. Maggie is determined to fight for Victor’s legacy. And it appears the Kiriakis family is united in this fight.

A History of Deception: Andre’s Many Returns and Tony’s “Death”

Returning to Tony, Philip mentioned to Xander that their last dispute over the alternative fuel business ended disastrously. Philip’s confrontation with Tony resulted in Tony’s apparent death; he was impaled on a wooden shard on the docks. While accidental, it was still a death.

Of course, in true Days of Our Lives fashion, Tony was eventually resurrected after about a decade. During that time, Andre was impersonating his twin, deceiving everyone, including Tony’s wife, Anna. Tony was presumed dead. And then Andre appeared, pretending to be Tony.

Over the years, Andre hasn’t always impersonated Tony. There have been many instances where he acted as his own villainous self. The last time Andre was known to be in Salem, he was married to his father’s ex-wife, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow). Their relationship was passionate. And Kate was heartbroken when he was killed.

Abigail Deveraux (AnnaLynne McCord) was the one who accidentally killed Andre in January 2018, bashing him with an urn containing Tony’s ashes. In 2022, an undead Andre reappeared as the Devil’s servant when his nephew Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) was possessed by Satan.

Days of our Lives Fan Speculation: Is Andre Pulling the Strings Again?

Now, fans are speculating whether Andre was ever truly killed. This theory gains traction for several reasons. Firstly, there are the recent observations of Tony acting unlike himself. Secondly, when Anna mentioned that Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) believed Stefano was alive, Tony displayed a smirk that some interpret as Andre’s.

One might think Anna could discern that her husband Tony isn’t himself. But she has been fooled by an Andre-Tony swap before. If it is indeed Andre he’s doing a remarkable job impersonating his brother. It’s unclear how long Andre has been posing as Tony. If it is Andre, then the current scheme involving suing Titan and blackmailing the Kiriakis brothers makes more sense.

Andre could also be secretly collaborating with EJ and Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) on the clinic and secret lab. Given EJ’s own villainous nature, a conspiracy with Andre wouldn’t be surprising. EJ didn’t seem overly shocked when his eccentric mother, Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) had a premonition about the Phoenix, suggesting EJ might be aware of Dr. Rolf’s clandestine activities since his departure from Salem.

The Mystery of Tony’s Whereabouts and Future Threats on Days of our Lives

This raises the question: why would Andre pose as Tony again? What is his ultimate goal? Fans also want to know if this is Andre, where is the real Tony DiMera?Is he dead, alive, or held captive somewhere? Some speculate Andre’s return is to cause trouble for corporate rivals and to usher in a new version of Stefano. Many have wondered if Andre’s other brother, Stefan who has been brainwashed into believing he is their father, Stefano, could be involved.

Stefan has been missing since Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) and Yvonne kidnapped him and supposedly sent him to Germany. Fans are also questioning if Andre’s conflict with the Kiriakis family could lead to another death. There’s been much speculation about fatalities resulting from this dramatic storyline. The extended Days of Our Lives promo showed Alex, Chad, and Kate being attacked by someone in a costume, which could be a Halloween-themed scare or something more sinister.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tony’s Plans for Theo, Stephanie’s Suspicions, and Salem’s Widows

On Wednesday, September 10th, we are going to find out that Tony sent the family jet to bring Theo from South Africa to Salem. Tony has a project proposal for his nephew, Theo, that he wanted to discuss in person. I wonder if Tony actually wants Theo to take over as DiMera CEO, or maybe he wants him to do some hacking and help dig into Titan to break the merger apart.

Meanwhile, Theo gets support from his dad, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), and his stepmom, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry). Theo recently went through a breakup with Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), which is part of the reason Theo is probably okay with coming back to town. I wonder if he’s going to stick around long enough to be a love interest for somebody like Arianna Horton (Marissa Reyes).

Plus, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) confronts her dad, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols). I do think Stephanie may suspect that Steve is the one who planted the bugged pen in Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier)’s Titan office, except it wasn’t him, it was Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez). Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) catches up with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) on Wednesday, and I wonder if they’re going to talk about Rachel, or Marlena’s weird dreams, or EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel)’s awful, awful hospital plans.

Maggie & Julie Support Each Other on DOOL

We also have Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), who are both relatively recent widows, talking over their grief about losing the loves of their life, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). The bookstore is now a nice distraction for Julie; it’s getting her out of the house and keeping her busy. I wonder if she’s going to ask Maggie to come work with her over there. You know,  just to have something else to do.

Plus, Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) have a really nice heart-to-heart chat. Maybe they’re catching up about Claire since Shawn just got back from seeing her. I am very curious to see whether they may rekindle. You know, they’re off and on again on Days of our Lives, but there’s a deep love there.

Thursday’s Days of Our Lives: Brady Uncovers Lies, Rachel’s Guilt, and Adoption Drama

On Thursday, September 11th, we’ve got Tate Black (Leo Howard) giving Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) a clue, maybe even unintentionally. This is about Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd), and Brady is getting closer and closer to unraveling Sophia and Melinda Trask (Tina Huang)’s lies about the baby and finding out the really ugly truth of what’s been done behind Tate’s back.

Rachel has a nice time connecting with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis). Rachel is blaming herself for Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) going to prison. She actually tells Holly, “It’s all my fault. My mom is in prison.” I wonder if Rachel’s going to remember she shot EJ, or we’re going to find out that Rachel never forgot. We’ll see if she opens up to Holly about what she’s done.

Stephanie Makes Alex Keep a Secret

Stephanie swears Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) to secrecy on Thursday, and this is hot off her conversation with her dad, Steve. I wonder if Stephanie is giving him some info about her dad, Steve’s shortcut investigation into Titan. I wonder if Steve suspects that his former client, Gabi, might have been so desperate when he canceled the investigation that she’s the one who did the amateurish bug in the office. If he tells Stephanie that, will she turn around and tell Alex?

Plus, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) tells Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) she’s ready to adopt. She knows what baby she wants. It looks like little Tesoro is about to be Salem’s most wanted kid soon because we also have Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) wanting to adopt Tesoro. They’ve both fallen in love with the kid, but they have issues with their backgrounds that could be problematic. Leo is a known con man, and Javi has this thing in his past where he had a child that died; he has anxiety about that. He hasn’t even told Leo all about that, and that’s all got to come out before they can dive into adopting at all.

Friday’s Days of Our Lives: Tate’s Confrontation, Rachel’s Shocking Confession, and Baby Tesoro’s DNA Test

On Friday, September 12th, Tate takes advantage of a moment with Sophia. He is trying to shake some truth out of her. I wonder if he’s got more evidence in hand to confront her with. Sophia is all in a panic anytime Tate comes into the Brady Pub or rolls up on her with more questions.

Brady tells Steve about his hunch. I’m wondering if Brady suspects that Sophia lied about when she gave birth, because that’s really the only reason not to suspect Tootsto as her child. Sophia’s worried that people will start to realize that Tesoro looks Asian, stuff like that. We’ll see.

Rachel completely stuns Kristen on Friday. I wonder if Brady has agreed to take Rachel to Statesville to see her mom, Kristen, or if Rachel sneaks off and grabs a ride share and heads up there to the prison. We do know that Kristen’s shocked, so I wonder if Rachel is going to confess that she’s the one who did it.

Johnny gets support from Holly. I think that she and some others are supposed to be in his film class at Salem University. They may also be talking about his adoption plans with Chanel. Also this week, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is going to run a DNA test on baby Tootsto. I’m assuming he’s looking for a match to Tate. We’ll see. I don’t think this test is authorized, though.

Days of Our Lives Weekly Spoilers: Rachel’s Dangerous Spiral, Tate’s Paternity Confirmed, and Salem’s Clinic Controversy

The week of September 15th through the 19th, I’m wondering if Sophia is turning into Jan Spears version 2.0 with her insistent obsession with Tate. I’m very excited to see Rafe’s DNA test results on her son, Tootsto.

Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) is back in town, and this may be for a reason other than just college. He’s been acting weird for a while about Sophia. We know he has a long-running crush. They had that mystery day they spent together, and Aaron has always acted a little guilty around Tate after that.

Shawn and Belle get closer. Maybe we’ll see them try again. They both had rebounds with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) and her with EJ, so maybe history repeats itself with these two yet again. Brady is soon going to uncover two brutal truths about two kids. First, that Rachel was the shooter in the EJ incident, and that Tate is indeed the dad of Tesoro.

Rachel is soon spiraling out of control. Spoilers confirm that when she goes off the deep end, somebody’s life may be at risk, and I don’t think it’s going to be Rachel. So, she is creating some sort of life-and-death drama very soon over this EJ issue. Hopefully, she doesn’t circle back around to EJ and try to finish him off or something.

Stephanie told EJ that they’ve got to name this new clinic after Dr. Tom Horton (Currently Zach Chyz) and not the DiMeras, who have a pretty tarnished name in Salem. Look for more to be revealed on the sick science that EJ and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) are cooking up with these secretive plans for the hospital. Also, Marlena’s dreams worsen.

Days of Our Lives sees Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) are just about to launch a big plan to take back the family business. And it all centers on a honeypot scheme.

And if you don’t know what that is, I’m going to lay it out for you while I give you these spoilers. We’re going to talk about why Gabi and Tony are the best ones to get DiMera Enterprises out of Kiriakis’ hands.

Days of Our Lives: Gabi’s Risky Plan to Reclaim Gabi Chic

So, if you have been keeping up with today’s episodes. And I know some of you do and some of you don’t, you just listen here, which thank you. You know by now that Gabi is super stressed out that Gabi Chic is under the Titan umbrella of companies and that she is under Xander (Paul Telfer) and Philip Kiriakis’ (John-Paul Lavoisier) thumb.

She has tried several things to wiggle her fashion and lifestyle brand away from Xander and Philip, but nothing works so far. She talked to Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson). She’s talked to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). She’s tried different things.

Tony DiMera’s Strategy: Saving DiMera Enterprises from Chaos

And you might have seen that Tony really wants to get control of his father’s legacy back away from the Kiriakis’. But at the same time, I think that he’s unsure that his brother EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is the best one to involve in this because Tony wants the family business to be legit.

And EJ wants it to be business as usual but with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) as CEO. And we know business as usual is dodgy. So, right now, while EJ is distracted, manipulating Belle Black (Martha Madison) with edited video footage and getting Johnny off on murder charges by any means necessary, I think Tony is going to take a totally different approach to saving DiMera Enterprises while EJ is busy elsewhere.

Fighting Fire with Arson: Gabi and Tony’s Explosive Strategy

So, in the summer promo, Gabi and Tony are talking at the DiMera mansion. And she talks about fighting fire with fire, which is of course an age-old cliche. But then Tony flips it on the ear and tells Gabi, “No, they’re gonna fight fire with arson.” As in, Tony wants him and Gabi to burn down the Kiriakis’. Not fighting fire with fire. He wants to put accelerant on it and just really blow it up.

Targeting the Kiriakis Brothers: Xander and Philip in the Crosshairs on Days of our Lives

So, specifically, Tony is cooking up a scheme with Gabi to target the Kiriakis’ brothers, Xander and Philip. Those two have already had a lot of problems already because Xander found out Philip lied and stole part of his inheritance and then Xander beat him almost to death and then Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) dumped Xander and he was arrested and he was released because Philip is covering for him.

So honestly it’s a total chaotic mess at the house of Kiriakis’ and Philip and Xander are still at odds but they are determined to make a success of Titan DiMera but they’re at each other’s throats. It’s just very problematic.

Gabi’s Honeypot Scheme: Seducing Xander and Philip on Days of our Lives

It looks like Gabi is going to try to take everything away from them. She is going to go all in on Tony’s plan and she is toying with Hunky Philip and Hunky Xander to ruin them, possibly ruin their lives to get her fashion brand back under her own control and help Tony get DiMera back.

So Gabi is soon locking lips with both Xander and Philip. She’s going to be pitting one brother against the other. That’s all part of her and Tony’s game plan. The brothers are already shaky and then Tony’s got Gabi as his secret sexy weapon.

Titan DiMera’s Fragile State: Blackmail and Tension

Xander and Philip used EJ shooting if you don’t remember and Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) issues keeping control of the company and her own sketchy background to convince Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) on the board that he should let Titan Industries take over DiMera. And that included its subsidiary Gabi Chic.

They gave him a big incentive, but now Li Shin is a little worried. Things haven’t been great at Titan DiMera. Not since Xander kicked Philip’s butt and almost killed him. And now Xander and Philip are kind of mutually blackmailing each other. So things are fragile. Alex is feeling the tension. Johnny is feeling it as the newest employee. As I said, it’s a big mess.

Tony’s Vision: Rehabilitating the DiMera Legacy

But now we’ve got Tony back in Salem with a more level head. still a devious DiMera, but he is trying to do the right thing by the family. He wants what rightfully belongs to the DiMeras. Now, Tony doesn’t love that DiMera Enterprises was a front for a bunch of criminal activities over the years.

You know, their dad, the late great nefarious Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) was a villain. He was a criminal. So, Tony wants it back, but he wants to rehab that image. So, I’m curious to see if Gabi drops by to conspire with Tony or he invites Gabi over to test the waters. Tony may have heard that Gabi’s very dissatisfied with what went down and thinks that she might be the person to help him defeat Xander and Philip.

Decoding the Promo: Gabi’s Kisses and Sarah’s Reaction

So Tony and Gabi plan to pour gasoline on the dumpster fire that these siblings have going, you know. And we actually had to pause and look at the new big super promo about four times to see Philip with Gabi because they were in this little horizontal bar and they were getting horizontal, but it was you had to kind of pause it to look at the cheekbones because Philip and Xander both have these very dramatic cheekbones and you know they don’t look a lot alike but when you’re looking at them in profile So, we ran that back several times.

We’re like, “Okay, yeah, it’s both brothers.” And looks like with Philip, she may be doing more than just locking lips. As for Gabi and Xander, they’re at the bistro. Gabi pulls him in for a kiss right in front of Sarah and Brady. And I am curious to find out if Gabi knew that Sarah and Brady were going to be there and she sat this up on purpose on Days of our Lives.

Sarah sees Xander kissing Gabi and then Sarah decides to smooch Brady in front of Xander who then decides to punch Brady. Clearly that Titan HR anger management course isn’t having the intended effect. Or maybe Xander ditched and never went even though Philip told him to go get some help with his anger issues.

Honeypot Dynamics: Will Philip Fall for Gabi?

And some days fans are actually wondering if Philip and Gabi are going to fall for each other during the honeypot plot. And if you’ve not heard that phrase before, a honeypot, sometimes it’s also called a honey trap. It’s usually in like secret agents, spy films, and real life as well. It’s when a usually a female agent is working undercover using sex or romance to compromise the person or persons they’re targeting to take them down or get information out of them or, you know, weaken them in some way.

So, I do think Philip is far more likely to fall for a honeypot than Xander because Sarah still has Xander’s heart. But Philip is single. He’s never dated Gabi before and she’s undeniably gorgeous.
