Major technology companies, facing financial distress, have been seeking bankruptcy protection in recent months.

Many of these companies are dealing with the same financial problems that retailers, restaurants, manufacturers, and service providers are suffering from, including rising costs of labor and products driven by inflation, increased interest rates on their debt, and consumers’ changing attitudes in paying for services.

Most of these companies have blamed unsustainable debt obligations and industry headwinds as the primary reasons for their economic problems.

Debtors have also said that they filed for bankruptcy either after defaulting on their debt obligations or to prevent them from defaulting on their debt.

Struggling business internet provider Everstream Solutions LLC is one of the tech companies that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, facing a potential default on over $1 billion in prepetition credit agreements.

The company, which filed its petition on May 28, is hoping to sell its assets in a bankruptcy auction.

Tech companies file for bankruptcy protection

In April, banking-as-a-service start-up, Solid, which at one time called itself the Amazon Web Services of fintech, filed for Chapter 11 protection in Delaware after failing to secure an additional round of funding.

Semiconductor supplier Wolfspeed has not yet filed for bankruptcy, but it is reportedly considering filing for bankruptcy, sources familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal on May 20.

The Durham, N.C., tech company is pursuing a prepackaged Chapter 11 plan in the coming weeks after out-of-court debt restructuring attempts failed.

And now, another major company that supports internet services is filing for bankruptcy.

Tilson Technology Management files for bankruptcy

Tilson Technology Management, a national leader in the installation of fiber solutions and infrastructure for internet services, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, seeking a sale of its assets.

The Portland, Maine, debtor and two affiliates filed their petition on May 29 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, listing about $223 million in debt, according to a declaration by Chief Restructuring Officer Richard Arrowsmith.

Tilson, whose affiliate Boundless Broadband is listed as the lead debtor in the case, is seeking $37.5 million in debtor-in-possession financing with $15 million available on interim order approval.

“For nearly 20 years, Tilson has helped clients tackle their most difficult information and communications infrastructure challenges,” Tilson CEO Darrell Ingram said in a statement.

“Our core business is strong, but we need to reset after one client’s failure to manage its relationships with its host communities and pay us for the work we performed materially changed our revenue expectations,” Ingram said.

“The steps we are taking today represent a new beginning, not an end. We are fortunate that our lenders continue to believe in our business and support us financially, so we can overcome this setback and create a strong financial future for our company,” he said.

More bankruptcy:

Tilson Technology Management plans to file a bidding procedures motion for a sale of all of its assets by June 13, a stalking-horse bid motion by June 25, receive approval of its bidding procedures by Aug. 1, approve a sale order by Sept. 19, and close the sale by Sept. 26, according to the declaration

The debtor’s financial problems began after it in 2022 contracted with Gigapower, an entity owned by Blackrock and AT&T, to design and build its fiber networks in Las Vegas and in Gilbert and Chandler, Ariz.

Tilson Technology Management alleged in court papers that Gigapower failed to deliver on all of the terms it had negotiated to address cashflow risks, failed to devote sufficient resources to community communication and management of jurisdiction-imposed costs, and delayed, withheld and reduced payments without contractual basis.

The debtor alleged that a series of actions by Gigapower led to its bankruptcy filing, including withholding all payments to Tilson in March 2025 without a reasoned explanation.

Gigapower also withheld consent in March 2025 to resume construction in Las Vegas for a month before scheduling meetings with the city to resume construction; and terminated all construction in Gilbert not in progress and suspended engineering work on March 28, 2025.

It also terminated all remaining construction work in Las Vegas and Chandler on April 29, 2025.

Five Tips to Save a TON on Flowers and Plants! | Thrifty Decor Chick http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/05/30/five-tips-to-save-a-ton-on-flowers-and-plants-thrifty-decor-chick/ http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/05/30/five-tips-to-save-a-ton-on-flowers-and-plants-thrifty-decor-chick/#respond Fri, 30 May 2025 04:56:56 +0000 http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/05/30/five-tips-to-save-a-ton-on-flowers-and-plants-thrifty-decor-chick/

Five ways to save money on plants and flowers this planting season.

Gardening is one of my favorite pastimes, but also one of the most expensive! Over the years I’ve come up with quite a few ways to save on both annual and perennial plants this time of year.

Sometimes I will still splurge on a plant or tree, but for the most part these methods will save me a TON on flowers, bushes and trees for our gardens and yard.

I’ve planted or replanted a TON of plants this spring (most were small, individual flowers) and have loved watching them thrive.

I gathered my top five ways to save on plants this spring and summer!

1. Pick spreading plants

I love our window boxes, but they can be expensive to fill every spring. I learned years ago that using flowers that spread will make my money go a lot further.

My favorite has always been the Wave Petunias because they multiply like crazy and cascade out of boxes or containers:

colorful petunias in window box

These are the only annual flowers I plant each year because they spread and fill in so beautifully.

Annuals only last one season, perennials will come back year after year.

For your landscaping, look for ground cover or flowers that spread, like this awesome sedum plant I showed you years ago:

This post may contain affiliate links for your convenience.

I may earn a small commission when you make a purchase through links.

I shared more about these easy plants here — the best part is that they are evergreen and look great even throughout the winter. (They will be dormant and won’t flower, but still add some green to your landscape!)

I love these plants so much, I’ve added them all over in our garden beds. They spread quickly and look fantastic:

stonecrop sedum
Stonecrop sedum

If left alone they will spread like crazy and need very little upkeep. They will even block out weeds in beds so they offer low maintenance landscaping.

Other great spreading flowers or plants:

  • Dianthus
  • Phlox
  • Hens and chicks (succulents)
  • Lily of the Valley
  • Lavender
  • Lamb’s Ears

2. Size (doesn’t) matter

I’m impatient, especially when it comes to flowering plants. I want the payoff NOW. 🙂

But I’ve learned that most of the time I’ll save a ton if I purchase the smaller sized garden plants. With a bit of nurturing at first (once they’re established within in a few weeks you don’t have to baby new plants as much).

Now I usually go for the smaller containers, especially if the plant is a fast grower. I’ve been planting a bunch of these bright pink dianthus for much needed color on the front of our house:

large pink dianthus

That version was $20 and is twice the size of the one I got:

small pink dianthus

I only fertilize when the plants first go in the ground, in the spring and one time mid summer.

Until then, my smaller versions still add that pretty pop of color and were more than half the price!

Those lovely petunias I mentioned are another great example. Instead of buying the much larger pots that are already blooming, go for the smaller, individual petunias.

They’ll be triple the size and blooming in no time! I planted these small petunias from our Aerogarden (that were only leaves at the time) in our window boxes:
aerogarden petunias

There are six individual plants there — but they have grown like mad and have multiple blooms already:

petunias in window box

It’s only been three weeks since I planted the small starts and they have exploded!

Patience is key. 🙂 Be sure to look at the tag on your plants to see how fast they grow. Obviously this is most beneficial when you’re buying a smaller version of a fast grower.

3. Clearance section (they just need a little love)

Did you know that many nurseries or hardware stores will slash prices on plants that don’t look perfect?

The clearance section is my all time best secret for beautiful flowers and plants! It’s the first place I look when I’m looking for new additions:

garden center clearance flowers

Don’t let those scraggly plants scare you! 😄 You can find SO many lovely options that will perk up beautifully once you get them home!

Now there are always plenty that are too far gone for even me, like these evergreens that will not come back:

clearance section Lowe's

But look at that hanging plant on the bottom left! It’s perfectly fine, the flowers have just bloomed already and therefore isn’t quite as attractive on the sales floor.

I found a bunch of the dianthus plants I mentioned earlier on the sales rack at Lowe’s for half off. They were looking a little worn, but not that bad!:

pink dianthus needs water

After only a week of watering everyday and a bit of fertilizer, they’re already coming along beautifully!:

healthy pink dianthus

This is how that same plant looks two years later!:

bright pink dianthus spreading plant

I make sure newly planted flowers are watered daily for the first week or two. After that only as needed.

I found four hydrangea plants on these clearance shelves that only had some spent blooms:

dried scorched hydrangea blooms

The plant itself was green and healthy (check out the new blooms on the upper left). I knew it would thrive at home, so I grabbed one at half off. I wish I would have bought all of them!

After only a few days and a little trimming, the plant isn’t quite as colorful, but will be in a few weeks!:

trimming scorched hydrangea

The clearance section is also a great spot to find one and done bloomers like lilies — once they bloom they’ll be placed on the rack. Some of them will continue to bloom for weeks!

And of course next spring you’ll have beautiful blooms in the spring for half the price. 🙂 Such a great bargain!

4. Splitting plants

This is another favorite way to make flowers and plants go way further! There are so many perennials you can split apart and replant, and I do the same with flowering annuals as well.

I usually use hanging potted plants to fill my back patio containers. They’re already nice and full, and because of that I can easily split them two or three ways:

splitting annual hanging flowers

Just take the plant out of the plastic pot and use a garden trowel or any other sharp garden tool to punch the soil where you want to split them.

These will be tangled together a bit, but if you shake them a little they’ll start to come apart. You don’t have to baby these too much — you may lose a few branches in this process, but no worries!

The flowers will bounce back quickly. Can you tell which containers have plants that were split?:

purple pink petunias in pots

light and dark purple flowers

patio planters with bright flowers

Again, patience is needed as these start to bloom and perk up to fill in the containers. But they always look GREAT in a week or two!

There are a ton of annuals that can be split when planting or after they’ve been in the soil for a while. Hostas are one of my favorites.

When shopping for hostas, make sure to look under the leaves to see how many individual plants are in the pot:

hostas in plastic planter

This is important with hostas specifically, because I’ve seen pots with as little as only two — you want as many as possible! They all cost the same, so be sure to check. 🙂

Use the same process as the flowers to split the roots apart:

splitting new hostas

It may take some effort if your hosta is large, and it will feel like you’re killing them, but don’t worry! Most plants are resilient and will come back looking great!

I got FOUR hostas out of one $24 plant:

split hosta in ground

You can also do this with more established hostas — it’s actually good for them as they become overgrown.

There are so many plants you can split and replant!

Here are just a few flowering plants that can be split:

  • Aster
  • Hosta
  • Sedum (pictured above!)
  • Daylily
  • Peony
  • Phlox
  • Iris

Divide spring bloomers in fall, fall bloomers in spring, and summer bloomers in either spring or fall.

5. Buy and plant late in the season

It blows my mind every year how fast plant prices are slashed…in the summer! I can always count on finding GREAT deals starting as early as July.

You have to time the best deals just right, but you’ll find perfectly healthy plants being clearanced out as early as mid-summer.

The Walmart nursery is my favorite place to find these deals, because they start moving them out early to get ready for holiday stock. I’ve found SO many great perennials for insane prices in July and August.

I found these Sea Green Juniper evergreens last summer for around $6 each!:

sea green juniper bush

I’ve purchased many trees at deep discounts mid-season as well, like this Juniper tree and my knock out roses in the backyard:

juniper evergreen tree

This knock out rose was $6 I think? I got two at that price, and here’s how one of them looks now:

big knock out rose by patio

And here’s how both of these looked five years ago (tiny plants in the mulch):

patio with fire pit

Patience is key when you’re trying to save money on plants! But SO worth it!

Hydrangeas are another great plant to look for from mid-summer on, as they need TONS of water and the hotter it gets, the nurseries struggle to keep them hydrated.

At most garden centers, you’ll start to see major discounts later in the fall. This works out well because the BEST time to plant is in the cooler spring and fall months.

We’ve planted discounted trees and shrubs as late as November! Don’t sleep on the sales that start early!

Honorable mention: Most bang for the buck!

Almost ALL plants that I add to our landscaping have to be one of two things. Either they are evergreen, and therefore keep their fullness and color throughout the winter months. (Arborvitae, boxwoods, sedum are great examples).

Or if they are a blooming plant, they must bloom from spring or early summer to the fall. I used to plant a lot of bulbs and/or plants that would flower for a few weeks, like lilies, tulips or azaleas.

I still plan to add some of these eventually, but when I’m trying to get our landscape established I focus more on the two types I mentioned here.

They simply offer for more the money!

I hope this list helps you to save some cash this planting season! Gardening can be an expensive hobby, but these tricks will save you a TON.

Adding to your landscape will add to your curb appeal and watching your plants thrive and grow is so rewarding! 😀

Adrien Brody and Nicole Kidman were both captured donning black sequined Tom Ford suits by Haider Ackermann on different occasions, and we want to know who you think wore it better

Brody looked handsome and sharp in his Tom Ford embellished suit at the amFAR Gala on May 22 in Antibes, France. He layered his suit over a crisp white shirt, and jazzed up his look with a white bow tie, and black Chelsea boots.

Contrary to Adrien, Nicole Kidman looked glamorous and powerful in her Tom Ford suit on the red carpet at Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 premiere. She stayed true to the integrity of Ackermann’s vision, baring her chest, and accessorizing with black leather gloves and a white gardenia pin.

Ackermann originally debuted the suit during Paris Fashion Week in March 2025 and his collection was fresh, modern, and tailored to perfection. He was appointed to Tom Ford back in Septemer 2024, replacing Peter Hawkins. The Tom Ford brand was acquired by EstĂ©e Lauder and Ermenegildo Zegna in April 2023 for a reported 2.8 billion USD. After a year of their acquisition, the new owners decided Hawkins wasn’t an ideal fit, and pivoted to Ackermann who released a noteworthy collection.

Why relationships fail http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/05/30/why-relationships-fail/ http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/05/30/why-relationships-fail/#respond Fri, 30 May 2025 04:17:43 +0000 http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/05/30/why-relationships-fail/

Have you ever noticed how all your communication skills go out the window when you are mad? Or how you say things in the worst possible way when you feel slighted?

There are countless theories and books on relationships out there–exercises for better communication and tips on dealing with power struggles.  So then why do so many relationships fail?

Why relationships fail

It’s been my experience that the root of all relationship problems is NOT incompatibility, different styles of communication, or even different values. It’s a sense of emotional disconnection. Seems obvious, but this often gets overlooked.

The bottom line is that when you aren’t feeling connected to your partner, you are less likely to use your tools.  All the insight in the world is of no use when your subconscious mind thinks your partner is the enemy.

If you don’t trust that your partner is attuned to you–or emotionally responsive in times of distress–you feel like you have no ally. It’s not so much what you are fighting about that matters. It’s that if you don’t feel safe, nothing really works.

Relationship expert Dr. Sue Johnson studied this phenomenon and shares it in her book Hold Me Tight.

She challenges the traditional idea that our ability to transcend the need for a secure emotional attachment makes us more mature, and thus better able to have a successful adult relationships.

Instead, she normalizes the primal need for a secure emotional attachment in adult relationships, and argues that we are wired to require emotionally attuned responses from others to keep us feeling safe and preventing “fight or flight” response.

This is why most fights are really a protest against emotional disconnection, and that underneath the distress, partners are really asking each other:  Can I count on you? Will you respond to me when I call? Do I matter to you? Do you need me?

Anger, criticisms, demands, and withdrawal are all attempts to draw our partners back in, and re-establish a sense of safe connection.

Here is a video I created for you discussing this topic:

In this video, I bust the  myth about adult attachment needs, and touch on two things you can do to create greater emotional connection.

Try this out, and let me know if you need support around this by booking a session here: Chat with Monika

If you can create this kind of connection, you will be able to tackle anything in your relationship, from the same team!

  9. Muffins are always my favorite thing to bake <3 And I love baking with coconut yogurt! It makes for awesome texture and moisture. These look super rich and I can’t believe you snuck avocado in there too 😼 If I had to choose which one to smell for the rest of my life it’d be coffee, but to eat the rest of my life it’d be chocolate 😀

    • Ooooh I think I’d have to agree with you there! But then again, chocolate has a pretty amazing smell too! So tough to choose favorites
especially when it comes to foo!

  23. Kaila, I have never used yogurt in baking, and I can see that I need to start. Although I am too a hater of the word moist, I do love my baked goods to have that moist, gooey center. I am pinning this recipe because I absolutely have to make this!

By the way, I had seen this on social media a few weeks ago and I definitely put my vote in for you. Good luck with the contest, this is a fantastic recipe and deserves kudos!

  27. These sound delicious! I always seem to have leftover cranberries in my cupboard so will definitely be giving these a go
nice change!

  28. I’ve never used avocado as fat in baking, but I may have to give it a try. I usually use all unsweetened applesauce. These look really good.

  29. Moist isn’t my favorite word either, but when talking about gluten free baking items I’m all for it! Too many gluten free recipes turn out dry, so I love ones that don’t. Looking forward to trying these. I’ll have to pin this so I remember to try it next time I have some spare time to bake! I’ll come back and rate it too after I try it. 🙂

Start Forcing Things to Work http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/05/30/start-forcing-things-to-work/ http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/05/30/start-forcing-things-to-work/#respond Fri, 30 May 2025 04:03:24 +0000 http://livelaughlovedo.com/2025/05/30/start-forcing-things-to-work/

Life is full of challenges, but it’s how we respond to them that determines our future. The key to transforming any aspect of our life is not just wishing things will get better, but actively seeking solutions. In his insightful message, Apostle Joshua Selman teaches that in order to break free from cycles of failure, we must force things to work by applying knowledge, responsibility, and prayer. Below are the key principles that can help you push through obstacles and experience real transformation.

1. Recognize What’s Not Working

Before you can fix a problem, you must first identify it. Apostle Selman emphasizes the importance of self-examination—finding out what is not working in your life is the first step toward change. Whether it’s a health issue, financial struggle, or a spiritual battle, knowing the root cause of your challenges is half the battle. Just like a consultant or a doctor diagnoses a problem before offering a solution, we must diagnose the issues in our lives before seeking answers.

2. Embrace Brokenness for Restoration

One of the most powerful lessons is the role of brokenness in transformation. When we come to God with humility, brokenness, and a willingness to change, we invite His power to restore what has been lost. Apostle Selman explains that brokenness isn’t about condemnation but about surrendering fully to God, acknowledging our weaknesses, and realizing that only He can help us overcome them. This state of brokenness attracts God’s mercy, which is crucial for any restoration to take place.

Start Forcing Things to Work

3. Take Responsibility for Your Life

We often find ourselves blaming circumstances or people for our situation, but the truth is, that taking responsibility for where you are right now is essential for moving forward. Apostle Selman challenges us to stop making excuses and take ownership of our lives. The moment you take responsibility is the moment you begin to move toward solutions. Whether it’s a financial issue, health problem, or relationship struggle, you can’t change what you don’t acknowledge.

4. The Power of Knowledge

To force things to work, you must constantly seek higher levels of knowledge. Whether it’s through reading books, attending conferences, or listening to teachings, knowledge is a tool that empowers us to solve problems and overcome limitations. Apostle Selman stresses that knowledge is the key to unlocking the potential in every situation. For example, if you’re struggling financially or facing health issues, don’t just pray for a miracle—seek the knowledge that will help you understand and overcome the problem.

Knowledge is power, and when you invest in learning and expanding your understanding, you prepare yourself to deal with life’s challenges effectively. This principle applies to every area of life, from finances to health to personal growth.

5. Stop Making Excuses and Act

We often wait for the right moment or for a divine intervention before we take action. Apostle Selman encourages us to stop waiting and start taking practical steps now. Whether it’s pursuing knowledge, seeking guidance, or making changes to your habits, action is crucial. God is always ready to help those who help themselves. The key is to stop making excuses and force things to work through the power of your own decisions and actions.

6. Address Key Life Areas: Finances, Health, and Spiritual Warfare

In his message, Apostle Selman identifies three major areas where many believers struggle: finances, health, and spiritual warfare. These areas often require deep knowledge, dedication, and prayer.

  • Finances: Financial stability is vital for personal growth, the advancement of God’s kingdom, and the well-being of our families. Don’t allow poverty to dictate your life. Seek financial knowledge and apply biblical principles to break the chains of poverty.
  • Health: Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to take care of them. Apostle Selman highlights that more and more young people are suffering from health problems that were once reserved for older generations. Taking care of your health through proper nutrition, exercise, and spiritual intervention is essential.
  • Spiritual Warfare: As believers, we are in a constant battle against unseen forces. Knowledge about spiritual warfare and how to protect yourself from demonic influence is necessary for living a victorious Christian life.

7. Pray the Prayer of Restoration

Restoration is an essential part of the process. Apostle Selman teaches that there is a specific prayer of restoration for believers who have experienced setbacks, losses, or challenges. God promises to restore the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). If you feel like you’ve lost time or opportunities, pray for restoration. Cry out to God for His intervention and believe that He can bring back what has been stolen.

The story of the Prodigal Son illustrates this point well. When the son returned to his father in a state of brokenness, the father didn’t question him about his past mistakes but welcomed him back with open arms. This act of restoration shows that when we return to God with a repentant heart, He will restore us.

8. Mercy and Surrender: The Key to a Miraculous Breakthrough

Mercy is the doorway to restoration. When you come before God with a broken and contrite heart, He is faithful to meet you at the point of your need. As Apostle Selman explains, surrendering to God and acknowledging that you have no other options left opens the door to miracles. Once you’ve reached that place of brokenness, God’s mercy can move mountains in your life.

9. Persistent Prayer and Action

In times of crisis, persistent prayer is the key to a breakthrough. Apostle Selman encourages believers not to be passive in their struggles. When you notice something is wrong, don’t wait for it to get worse—pray! The power of persistent prayer, combined with action, can bring about restoration. Just like in Acts 12, where the church prayed without ceasing for Peter’s release, consistent prayer can shift the course of events in your life.

Final Thoughts: Force Things to Work

The principles outlined in this message are powerful tools for anyone who wants to experience change and restoration. Self-examination, brokenness, taking responsibility, seeking knowledge, and persistent prayer are all crucial steps in transforming your life. By applying these keys, you can overcome the obstacles in your life and start moving toward the restoration God has promised you.

Remember, restoration isn’t just about fixing what’s broken—it’s about receiving back what has been lost and pushing forward to a better future. Don’t wait for things to get better on their own. Force things to work by taking action and seeking God’s wisdom, and you will see transformation in every area of your life.

Are you ready to force things to work in your life? Start today by seeking knowledge, praying for restoration, and taking responsibility for your journey.

The duffel bag has been the tote of choice for travelers for decades. The right duffel is easily packable, easily squishable, and very robust. For some people, it’s an essential item that can be stuffed, tossed, and stored in just about any space.

Although I generally prefer carry-on backpacks for my travels, sometimes a carry-on duffel bag is just a better option—especially if you’re the type of person to just toss your belongings into your open duffel bag without any kind of organization.

Or maybe you just prefer the style.

There are so many choices out there. Different sizes, materials, features, and quality levels create an overwhelming environment that can leave new travelers in indecision.

That’s why I’ve picked out the best of the best and compiled this list of top picks, so you’ll find the best duffel bag for your travels!

1

Matador SEG45: Best Overall Carry-On Duffel

Matador SEG42 Travel PackMatador SEG42 Travel Pack

This backpack-duffel hybrid combines functionality and versatility to create one of the best bags on the market for travelers.

The Matador SEG45 made of 840D nylon and 420D nylon (with waterproofing), as well as ultra-durable 100D Robic Dynatec for the interior, so this thing is tough. There are lots of handy storage pockets that are zippered for ultimate organization, plus the straps are stowable for easy travel.

The clamshell opening gives you easy access to the interior, which is an ideal place to store larger items or dirty laundry. It also comes with an external-access padded laptop sleeve that’ll keep your laptop or tablet safe from the elements.

Buy it if you…

  • Waterproof zipper and materials
  • Apocalypse-ready construction
  • Versatile enough for both urban and outdoor trips
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Backpack straps don’t have much padding or comfort
  • The mostly-black interior makes it hard to find things inside
  • It’s expensive

2

COOLIFE Travel DuffelCOOLIFE Travel Duffel

COOLIFE is an up and coming budget travel brand that is best known for their sleek polycarbonate suitcases that are available on Amazon at a fraction of the price of higher-end luggage brands.

They also make a full range of functional and affordable travel gear, and the COOLIFE Travel Duffel is no exception. This carry-on duffel bag impressed us with the level of functionality it offers at such a low price point.

Surprisingly, this duffel isn’t just a floppy sack with a zipper and some handles. It’s made with a pretty burly outer material and has plenty of padding and structure throughout. It stands up on it’s own when empty, which makes it much easier to pack.

There’s also a padded laptop sleeve, multiple exterior pockets, and a luggage-handle pass-through so you can carry it on top of a suitcase.

It doesn’t look super cheap either. It looks professional enough to take on business trips.

To be clear, you aren’t getting high-end materials or innovative features here. This is still a pretty simple budget duffel bag. The zippers aren’t the highest quality, and the interior materials feel a bit cheap. But for the price, it’s hard to be disappointed.

Can you find even cheaper carry-on duffels out there? Absolutely. But this one balances affordability with a truly functional design and durable construction. If you’re on a budget, the COOLIFE Travel Duffel is a great choice that won’t fall apart on your first trip.

Buy it if you…

  • Classic design looks nice enough for work travel
  • Lower cost than other duffel bags on this list
  • Plenty of zippered external pockets
  • Great quality for the price
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Cheaper materials
  • Doesn’t have much internal organization

3

Peak Design 35L Travel DuffelPeak Design 35L Travel Duffel

For those that want to match functionality with style, the Peak Design Travel Duffel is one of the best carry-on duffel bags on the market. Peak Design is known for its specialized camera bags, but they aim to appeal to all travelers with this product.

Best of all, this duffel bag can be carried as a duffel, messenger bag, and backpack. The Cord Hook quick-connection system allows you to customize how each strap links to the bag.

Both the shoulder strap and top handles are padded, and the removable backpack straps increase the versatility of this duffel bag. The  400D nylon is extremely durable, but the added 800D nylon padding at the bottom is a thoughtful design feature that protects the most heavily-impacted part of the bag.

Style-wise, we love the color pairings and the touches of leather. The metal clasps and zippers also add to the sophisticated look of the bag!

If you’re interested in other Peak Design bags, check out our review for the Peak Design Travel Backpack.

Buy it if you…

  • This duffel is the perfect blend of elegance and functionality.
  • Removable backpack straps.
  • The leather accents are a beautiful addition, especially on the sage green bag.
  • For the eco-conscious travelers, this bag is made entirely from recycled materials.
Don’t buy it if you…

  • The magnet clasp in the handles are pretty weak.
  • Not as water-resistant as some options on this list.

4

The North Face Rolling Thunder 22The North Face Rolling Thunder 22

This 22″ rolling duffel fits around 40L worth of items and is the only one of two rolling duffel bags on this list. This design bridges the gap between a suitcase and a duffel bag. The soft yet durable nylon exterior is flexible enough to fit gear of all shapes without the restrictions of a hard-shelled suitcase, and the main compartment is simple, without pockets or padding.

The wheels on the Rolling Thunder are built for all conditions—they are larger with more tread than a traditional suitcase, so they can handle rougher terrains like cobblestone or unpaved paths. This rolling duffel bag is definitely built to go places you’d never dream of taking your shiny spinner suitcase.

Keep in mind that the wheel system makes this wheeled duffel bag heavier than a standard duffel. Although you won’t be carrying the Rolling Thunder, keep in mind that the weight of this bag with wheels could be an issue when it comes to airline weight restrictions.

Buy it if you…

  • Ultra-durable exterior material
  • Rugged, oversized wheels roll easily on rough surfaces
  • North Face products come with a lifetime guarantee
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Expensive
  • No compression straps to secure the load
  • No padded pockets for laptops or other electronics
  • No removable shoulder strap

5

Halfday Garment DuffleHalfday Garment Duffle

If you need to travel with a suit, dress, or other formal hanging clothes, a dedicated garment bag is the best way to keep them looking fresh and unwrinkled. But what if you also want the carry-all functionality of a duffel bag?

That’s where the Halfday Garment Duffel comes in. This unique hybrid design combines a full-size garment bag for hanging clothes with the versatility of a duffel. In a world full of duffel bags that all look the same, this innovation really stands out!

So how does it work?

The entire bag unzips to lay fully flat and open. This makes it easy to pack in suits, dresses, or other formal wear without taking them off the hanger. A protective panel then zips over the top of your hanging clothes to keep them from shifting around.

Once the garment bag section is packed, you zip up the sides to transform it into a duffel. It has a super wide opening that makes it really easy to pack in all your stuff. Plus, there are dedicated shoe pockets on either side to keep shoes separate from all your clean clothes.

Once you see it in action, the design is actually pretty simple; it’s just totally different from anything else I’ve seen on the market. And it works!

Now, if you want a more general do-everything duffel, the Halfday Garment Duffel probably isn’t the best choice. You wouldn’t want to use it as a gym bag or gear hauler for adventurous travel, but for anyone needing a more versatile garment bag, this is an awesome choice.

Buy it if you…

  • Versatile 2-in-1 design
  • Hanging garment storage keeps suits, dress shirts, and dresses looking good
  • Plenty of room for 3+ days of clothes
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Not as general-purpose as other duffel bags
  • Can’t access the hanging storage without unpacking everything else
  • Not-so-comfy shoulder straps don’t work well for long carries

6

KUHL Eskape Kanvas DuffelKUHL Eskape Kanvas Duffel

When KÜHL decided to create the Eskape 50 Kanvas, they were going for the toughest, most durable duffel on the market—something that would hold up for years of adventuring while still being usable for weekend trips or as an overnight bag. They nailed it. The durability, features, and rugged styling make this one of the best duffel bags for men.

KÜHL uses an incredibly tough TPU-laminated nylon for superior weatherproofing, meaning you could get caught in an unexpected rainstorm or snowstorm and your belongings will stay safe and dry. Even the double zippers are water-resistant. The nylon is tough enough that you could drop this duffel out of a moving vehicle, and it’ll stand up just find.

There are also a bunch of fun additional features, like two compressible dirty item pouches so you can keep your smelly laundry and shoes separate from the clean stuff. Lots of pockets add extra organization and stowable backpack straps will help you to avoid any snags while in transit.

Buy it if you…

  • Superior laminated nylon and other weatherproofing features keep your belongings super safe.
  • It comes with a side pocket that converts to a water bottle pocket.
  • Surprisingly comfortable shoulder straps
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Expensive (but it’ll last for ages)
  • Too big to be comfortable for smaller folks

7

Monos Metro DuffelMonos Metro Duffel

The streamlined, sleek Monos Metro Duffel is made with ethically sourced, ultra-microfibre vegan leather. At 23L it’s one of the smaller duffels on this list, but it’s truly a duffel bag you can take with you from the office to the gym, or from your co-working space to a weekend trip (or wherever you please, really).

There’s an internal sleeve that fits up to a 15″ laptop, and inner pockets for a water bottle or other valuables. This duffel also has a pass-through sleeve to secure to your main bag. The best thing about this duffel? It’s designed to work with the signature QuickSnap Modular Kit System so you can easily snap off and on the Classic Kit with all your essentials.

Finally, it comes in a handful of different colors. The Mahogany is particularly drool-worthy.

Buy it if you…

  • Works with the nifty QuickSnap Modular Kit System
  • Comes in a wide range of colors
  • The trolley sleeve turns into an extra pocket when not in use. Who doesn’t love extra pockets?
  • Fits up to a 15″ laptop
Don’t buy it if you…

  • This duffel is one of the more expensive on this list.
  • This small duffle bag won’t work for trips longer than 3 days or so

8

Timbuk2 Impulse Travel Backpack DuffelTimbuk2 Impulse Travel Backpack Duffel

Is it a travel backpack or a duffel? The Timbuk2 Impsulve Travel Duffel serves as both, with adjustable backpack straps that tuck away so you can convert it into a duffel bag.

This hybrid bag comes equipped with several features that many standard duffel bags lack: namely, internal compression straps, a water bottle pocket, and a padded laptop compartment.

Zippered mesh pockets on the U-shaped lid keep your small items in separate compartments from the main compartment, while external zipper pockets allow you to stow wet or dirty gear.

The harness system on this duffel backpack is more extensive than anything else on this list. Not only does it have shoulder straps, but it also has a hip belt complete with mini pockets to store your chapstick or a snack. The back panel is made of breathable polyethylene foam, and the sternum strap distributes weight so that carrying this duffel on long walks is a breeze. This is one of the best duffel bags if you prefer a backpack-style carry.

Buy it if you…

  • Laptop compartment fits 17-inch devices
  • Great lifetime warranty
  • Easy-to-clean material keeps this pack looking new for longer
  • Comfortable padded shoulder straps make it easier to carry long distances
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Zippers tend to be sticky and hard to maneuver, but they seem to ease up with time
  • No traditional over-the-shoulder strap option
  • It’s only available in one color—black.

9

Aer Travel DuffelAer Travel Duffel

This Aer Travel Duffel is minimalistic, spacious, and carry-on compatible. The clamshell opening provides suitcase-like access for easy packing rather than the U-shape opening that’s so common in this list.

However, this travel duffel bag looks incredibly professional—in fact, it looks almost more like a briefcase. You can easily transition from a work trip to a weekend adventure with this duffel bag in tow.

The interior pockets are intuitive, with a front organizational pocket, a padded sleeve for laptops up to 15.6 inches, and a mesh pocket in the main storage compartment. There are top compression straps and lockable zippers for extra security at the airport, and even a pocket for your water bottle. The functionality of such a minimalistic bag is seriously impressive, and it’s perfect for digital nomads.

Buy it if you…

  • Comes with a laptop pocket for devices up to 15.6 inches.
  • Plenty of external pockets
  • Easy-to-pack clamshell opening
  • Lockable zippers make this bag super secure.
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Gets uncomfortable to carry when it’s fully loaded
  • It looks a bit too briefcase-y

10

Patagonia Black Hole 40L Duffel BagPatagonia Black Hole 40L Duffel Bag

The Patagonia Black Hole Duffel may be one of the most highly regarded options out there. It’s burly yet lightweight, and it has an impressive water-repellant finish. It has two straps for backpack-style carry, so you can throw in all your gear without worrying about it being too heavy. The reinforced bottom makes this duffel bag extra durable, so you never have to worry about your equipment.

This duffel backpack has just the right amount of pockets: the large compartment has a U-shaped lid, where zippered mesh pockets allow you to store small gear on the underside. Exterior pockets provide easy access to all your travel essentials, so you don’t have to search through the black hole for your boarding passes in the security line.

And true to its name, the Patagonia Black Hole Duffel Bag is deceptively large. For the light-packer or one-bag traveler, you can fit enough stuff for a multi-week trip. And for those that bring a lot of stuff, the external daisy-chain links let you add other attachments.

This duffel bag comes in multiple forms: from various sizes to an array of colors (and even a rolling duffel option), there’s sure to be a version that fits any traveler’s needs.

The Patagonia Black Hole Duffel Bag has a bit of a cult following, and for good reason. If bomb-proof durability and straightforward functionality are what you’re after, this is one of the best duffel bags out there.

Buy it if you…

  • The straps make this perfect for lugging around heavy gear without worrying about sore shoulders.
  • Multiple color options appeal to many travelers.
  • Versatile design gives traveler’s many options, but we love the classic 40L option as a carry-on duffel bag.
Don’t buy it if you…

  • This bag is on the pricier end. But for those willing to invest the money, this duffel is built to last.
  • Traditionalists may miss the standard over-the-shoulder strap.
  • Only exterior pockets; there’s no internal pockets for compartmentalizing clean and dirty clothing.

11

Rains Hilo Weekender BagRains Hilo Weekender Bag

Rains is a modern outerwear brand that specializes in waterproof jackets and bags. They combine minimalist Scandinavian design with durable waterproof materials. Take a look through their website and you’ll find some really unique styles, plus products that are just straight-up functional.

If you get caught in a rainstorm while traveling, you don’t want to have to worry that your bag is going to soak through and leave you with a sopping wet pile of clothes. The Rains Hilo Weekend Bag uses the same signature PU-coated fabric as their rain jackets, making a waterproof duffel bag that will keep your personal belongings dry in wet weather.

Rains gives this bag a W3 on their “Water Performance Level” rating (their own rating system). Essentially that means it’s designed to stand up to light-to-moderate rain. It’s perfect for getting caught out in a storm, but you definitely wouldn’t want to take it on a rafting trip or leave it out all day in a monsoon.

Beyond the waterproof performance, the design is very simple. There are no exterior pockets, extra zippers, or random features to get in the way. Just one big main compartment, a carry handle, and a removable shoulder strap. Really, I wish they had added at least one external zippered pocket for things you want quick access to.

If you like lots of features, this isn’t the bag for you. There’s definitely something appealing about it’s simplicity though.

Buy it if you…

  • Waterproof protection from rain and snow
  • Sleek, stylish look
  • Simple, easy-to-pack design
  • Durable materials
  • One of the lightest bags on this list
Don’t buy it if you…

  • No pockets or organization features
  • The adjustable shoulder strap doesn’t offer much padding

12

Everlane Renew WeekenderEverlane Renew Weekender

The Everlane ReNew Transit Weekender is perfect for city traveling, as it’s small enough to navigate the busy subway and light enough to sling over your shoulder as you walk down the street. This intelligently-designed minimalist travel bag comes with two top straps to grab and go and a longer shoulder sling.

The bag’s main pocket is roomy and zippered, and there are two exterior pockets, one with a zipper and one without. The zipper pocket also doubles as a luggage handle pass-through when fully unzipped!

The interior features a protective laptop sleeve, two water bottle holders, and a spacious main compartment.

This bag comes in four sleek neutral colors—its exterior is 100% recycled polyester with a water-resistant finish. It’s super lightweight, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t durable! If you want to keep it simple and classy, this is the duffel.

Buy it if you…

  • This duffel bag is one of the most affordable on this list!
  • Great for balancing style and functionality
  • Multiple ways to carry: in hand, cross-body, or over the shoulder.
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Lacking in interior organization—could use smaller pockets.
  • I’d prefer more comfortable shoulder straps

13

MAHI Classic DuffelMAHI Classic Duffel

MAHI started as a premium leatherworking factory in India in the 1800’s. They employ expert craftspeople and emphasize durability and quality in everything they make. Not to mention their products look amazing.

While not everyone will be interested in a leather duffel, for anyone who loves the timeless style and craftsmanship of well-made leather products, the MAHI Classic Duffel is a great choice. No, it doesn’t have the high-tech materials and nifty features of many other duffel bags, but it’s well-made and looks great.

The biggest advantage of this duffel is that the high-quality leather used means it will last a long time. You could easily be handing this down to your grandkids. Of course, leather does require a bit more care than synthetic materials (I recommend using Nikwax Leather Restorer).

My biggest complaint is that it doesn’t open very wide, which can make it a bit harder to pack if you’re stuffing it to the brim.

Buy it if you…

  • Timeless genuine leather style
  • Durable materials and construction that will last a lifetime
  • Amazing value for the price you pay
  • External pocket is great for quick-access items
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Smaller main opening zipper
  • Shoulder strap isn’t very comfy

14

Langly Weekender Duffel BagLangly Weekender Duffel Bag

If you’re a professional or amatuer photographer who carries a lot of camera gear on your trips, you need a duffel that is up to the task. That means lots of structure and padding to keep your expensive equipment safe from harm.

The Langly Weekender Duffel Bag is designed specifically for traveling photographers. It’s got plenty of space for hauling around camera gear, and it’s built with protection in mind.

This bag starts with a sturdy base that’s 9mm thick. It’s made of a combination of HDPE board and EVA foam. This creates a very structured foundation that’s easy to pack on, and it ensures all your gear is protected from impacts. This bag feels very sturdy.

The main material is a heavy-duty rugged twill fabric that is water-resistant and tough. It also looks great.

My biggest gripe is that there is no built-in camera organization. You’ll have to opt for a separate camera cube to hold your camera and lenses. I highly recommend the Peak Design Camera Cube.

Buy it if you…

  • Burly materials and construction
  • Padded sides and rigid base for extra protection
  • Classic styling
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Doesn’t include a camera cube

15

Thule Subterra Duffel Bag 45LThule Subterra Duffel Bag 45L

The Thule Subterra Duffel bag has a simple design with an almost geometric shape. Its slim profile is accentuated by the lack of external handles or attachment points. Corner flaps fold up and down so you can decide how you carry it, as a tote-style duffel bag or sleek duffel.

Thick, magnetic handles in the middle help to keep this pack balanced as you carry it through the airport. The extra-padded shoulder strap is comfortable to carry, and straps cinch down the bag, so you can pack extra gear while keeping the duffel carry-on compliant.

It comes in three colors: dark shadow, ember, and mineral. They’re neutral enough to be professional, but the geometric design also makes the Thule Subterra one of the most unique bags on this list.

Buy it if you…

  • Sleek and modern design
  • Great structure and padding
  • Internal mesh pocket for organization
Don’t buy it if you…

  • Magnetic handle feature doesn’t work well
  • Not very water-resistant

16

Osprey Transporter Duffel 40Osprey Transporter Duffel 40

Osprey’s Transporter Duffel 40 is the ideal pack for adventurers who need a pack as rugged and tough as they are, especially in those wetter climates.

Osprey hails this pack as great for short gear-intensive trips. It is built from recycled polyester with dual-sided TPU coating inside and out, sturdy hardware, overlapping zipper, and a DWR coating that protects your gear from the elements.

The main compartment features a YKK zipper with an overlapping rain flap for extra protection against weather. The pack can carry up to 40L, which is the perfect weekender size to fit all your gear and be able to carry onto an airplane.

A deployable harness with a sternum strap allows you to backpack carry when desired and offers a sleek, classic duffel carry design when tucked away.

Buy it if you…

  • Extremely durable and weather-resistant.
  • The main compartment is large and zippered.
  • Comfortable backpack straps
Don’t buy it if you…

  • A heavier option die to the durable materials.

17

Monarc Settra: Most Eco-Friendly Duffel Bag

Monarc Settra DuffelMonarc Settra Duffel

Monarc is a new brand on the block, and they’ve taken a unique approach by building their entire brand around reducing plastic waste. In fact, they are certified plastic-negative, which means they remove more plastic from the environment than they use in their products.

The Monarc Settra Duffel Backpack is made using ocean-bound plastic, and Monarc is clearly proud of that. The main zipper has a lanyard proudly proclaiming that it’s “made with 50 recycled plastic bottles.” With this bag, you’ll be making a statement that sustainability matters to you.

It’s not just about sustainability, though. This duffel bag is also really well-built and well-thought-out. The materials feel very burly and tough. I haven’t put it through long-term use yet, but it definitely feels like it will last a long time. The tradeoff is that it’s heavy; at almost 5 lbs it’s one of the heaviest on this list.

My favorite feature is that the Monarc Settra can convert into a backpack for longer carries. It has nicely padded shoulder straps and even a hip belt, which isn’t common. I’ve been impressed with the comfort and load-carrying ability in backpack mode. Is it as good as a dedicated backpack? No. But it works really well for what it is. The backpack straps also stash away neatly when not in use.

Finally, this duffel is absolutely packed with features and pockets. There’s a removable shoe pocket, stash pockets inside and out, a long admin-type pocket on the side, a deep pocket for water bottles, and a padded laptop sleeve that fits up to 17-inch devices. Honestly, I think there are too many pockets—more than I’d ever use, anyway.

It’s probably a bit overkill for many people, but the Monarc Settra Duffel Backpack is awesome if you want a solid duffel bag while also doing good for the planet.

Buy it if you…

  • Tons of organization and pockets
  • Surprisingly comfortable in backpack mode
  • Works as a laptop duffle, travel bag, or outdoor adventure bag

What is a Carry-On Duffel Bag?

Duffel bags are simple, soft-sided packs that maximize useable space by keeping design features to a minimum. Depending on their size and build, they make great weekend or carry on duffel bags or extended travel packs for a variety of terrain.

Duffle bags come in multiple forms. There’s no such thing as a traditional duffel bag anymore. Some are waterproof, while others double as travel backpacks. Some are made of leather (or leather accents), or heavy-duty nylon, or cotton. Some are sleek city companions, while others are built for carrying your climbing gear around rugged mountain environments.

As travelers realize the joy of traveling without checked luggage, companies are beginning to make duffel bags that are intentionally carry-on friendly.

Major airlines generally allow carry-ons to be  22 x 14 x 9 inches, while budget airlines have a restriction of 22 x 16 x 8 inches. However, each airline has its own carry-on size restrictions, so check before you go! Generally, most 40L or 45L duffel bags will fall within these airline regulations.

For other options, be sure to read our post about the best carry-on luggage for every kind of adventure.

The Ultimate Question: Duffel Bag vs. Suitcase?

Duffels aren’t inherently better than suitcases, but they are often more versatile. They offer ease of travel as you hop from train to plane to bus. They can be carried in a variety of ways, picked up and heaved into the back of a car, and then thrown over your shoulder as you rush to catch your flight.

You can avoid the hassle of roller wheels when you’re walking on cobblestone streets in Europe or across snowy trails on your next ski trip. They are often more waterproof and tougher than their suitcase counterparts, so they’re better suited for more adventurous travels. Additionally, the soft exterior shell makes these bags perfect for bulky or oddly-shaped items that may not fit in hard-shelled rolling luggage.

However, duffel bags aren’t known for being exceptionally comfortable or secure. But they have come a long way in the last few years, and many of the models offer the same secure storage features as suitcases. Also, companies have been paying more attention to the carrying comfort of these bags, and many now incorporate backpack straps or well-padded straps. for your shoulders.

Also, these bags are remarkably simple. We love them for their lightweight nature, versatility, and ease of transport.

What Makes A Carry-On Duffel Great?

So now we know which luggage items are on the radar, but what features truly set the best duffel bags apart from the rest? Well, let’s dive in and take a look at some of the most essential buying considerations for when you want to travel the world with a carry-on only.

Durability

Your travels may take you from the airport to public transit to your hostel and any number of places where your duffel bag could be scuffed, scratched, or damaged. Durability is important! Keep a sharp eye out for sturdy materials like double ripstop nylon, leather, and tarpaulin.

Also, remember that the ‘D’ for material thicknesses (such as 400D) stands for Denier), and the higher that number, the thicker and more robust your material.

Packability

Carry-on duffels should have a less rigid construction. Bulky or oddly-shaped parcels slide right in while the duffel bag itself is easy to heave, shove, squeeze, or pack into just about any space imaginable – including overhead compartments on airlines. So don’t underestimate the importance of less-rigid sides, and look twice at hybrid items that try to incorporate rigid sides into what’s marketed as a duffel.

Organization

Luggage is built on organization, but many duffels shine by not overcomplicating the process. We love quick access to one large packing space without being overwhelmed by a plethora of pockets, mesh, and zipper that could just as easily hinder a search for a particular item. That said, several of the ultimate duffel bags will include a handy shoe compartment or a laptop pocket. Keep an eye out for these organizational aids, and consider your personal travel preferences when you begin your search for new travel luggage.

Weatherproofing

Don’t let nasty weather ruin your clothing and travel gear! The best duffel will incorporate at least some level of weatherproofing to help protect your gear, including reinforced seams. This may be a basic Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish or a Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) coating. To make the leap from water-resistant to waterproof, keep an eye open for leather and tarpaulin on the material list as both of these are both rugged and waterproof.

There you have it! We’ve covered the very best carry-on duffel bags for travel along with essential buying advice. From classic city jaunts to rugged adventure-ready luggage, we have you covered. So go ahead, take your carry-on bag pick, and travel like a champ.

Days of Our Lives fans – get ready – we have got some scoop from our leaker about a new love coming for Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), for Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier), and others as summer heats up in Salem. We’ve got a bromance reunion, a couple of intense breakups, and several new couples on the horizon. So, let’s get into it.

Days of Our Lives: Xander Kiriakis Goes Off the Rails

If you are current on your today’s episodes, you have seen Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) going off the rails lately. We saw him making assumptions about Philip on top of the fraud and forgery that is known. So Xander lost it, and he kicked Philip’s butt so bad it landed him in the ICU, and he’s still unconscious.

Then Xander ranted at Sarah about covering for Philip, and she slapped back harder at Xander. She said she had to protect Victoria. You know, he’s the bad guy that she always feared, yada yada. And she kicked her hubby out of the Kiriakis mansion and out of her life.

Plus, after Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) sided with Sarah and she laid into Xander with a couple of threats, well, he stole and stabbed and ripped apart that portrait of his father, the late great Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), that Constantine (John Kapelos) had given to Maggie.

And then this week, Xander is in handcuffs, arrested for Philip’s brutal beating. And adding insult to injury, Xander loses the hospital to his sworn enemy EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) because of the arrest. So with Philip still conked out, Xander is heading to jail, and he still despises his brother at the moment, but he’s starting to see he overreacted.

Salem Spoilers: Philip and Xander Kiriakis Bromance Reunion

So that’s the first relationship we want to talk about. Right now, Philip and Xander’s brotherly bond does seem irretrievably broken. Philip wanted to get the miracle drug first to save Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and try to get back in Xander’s good graces.

So now, Dandy Xandy finally realizes that Philip wasn’t trying to profit but was trying to help save Bo, and he was actually trying to help Xander win the bid for the hospital over EJ. But Xander almost killed his brother.

So when Philip wakes up, our leaker says in a twist, he won’t press charges. So Belle Black is not going to get to prosecute Xander pummeling Philip nearly to death. And additionally, in a significant twist, Xander and Philip resume their brotherly relationship. The brother breakup becomes a makeup and possibly causes a shakeup.

Days of Our Lives: Philip and Xander Reunite

Now, I for one cannot wait for the bromance between the Kiriakis brothers to resume. I loved seeing Xander and Philip high five when they won a deal together. They were so cute as brothers with their bond. But how will Kate Roberts react when Philip and Xander get thick as thieves again? Well, I bet Kate’s going to hate it.

And with Philip and Xander reunited as friends and brothers, guess what? Our leaker says Philip keeps pressing Xander to get back with Sarah. Philip according to our leaker, becomes the biggest cheerleader that’s urging a Xander and Sarah reunion. And he won’t quit till he puts them back together since Philip knows that he is a big part of why Xander and Sarah split, and he’s Team Xarah all the way.

Plus, we know big brother Bo wakes up, and he gets involved with some sort of Kiriakis Titan plot, and he’s running around with Philip and Xander as they’re trying to do something good for the family. And if you remember a couple years ago, Bo wanted to run Titan while he was in his intense Kiriakis phase before his memories finally came back.

Days of Our Lives: Sarah Horton’s New Romance with Brady Black?

Okay, breaking from the bromance, now let’s talk about a romance. Our leaker says that throughout the summer, Xander and Sarah remain split, and their marriage is in tatters. Although we were also told they will not divorce. And it seems like while she’s split from Xander, some other man gets close to Sarah. We are told it’s another family member of Xander’s who slides close to Sarah. And we already saw a glimpse of it this week. The person in question is Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).

Our leaker says that Sarah and Brady keep getting closer this summer. And remember, Sarah’s been involved with Brady’s stepbrother, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), before. And then obviously with Xander, she’s had a few love interests. So, not only has she been involved with others, there’s Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) in that mix. So, a lot of Brady and Kiriakis action on Days of our Lives.

Days of Our Lives: Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) - Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier)Days of Our Lives: Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) - Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier)
Days of Our Lives: Sarah Horton – Philip Kiriakis

So, anyway, we are going to see Sarah and Brady getting closer, which is kind of interesting. However, despite it being some sort of slow burn thing between them, it’s going to be more of a situationship than a relationship between Sarah and Brady, according to our leaker. And they also told us that it’s not going to evolve into anything substantial for Sarah and Brady. So, that’s good.

Salem Spoilers: Xander’s Love Life and Xarah Endgame

Now, let’s talk about Xander’s romantic prospects while he is split from Sarah. His toxic ex Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) is back to Salem this July. So, a little over a month from now, we’re getting her back. And there’s some fans that really enjoyed Xander and Gwen together. I do think a lot more viewers ship Xander with Sarah, though.

So, our Days of Our Lives insider says that even though Xander is split from Sarah, he remains very much in love with her. And we’ve heard that although Gwen wants to get back with hunky Xander, he is not down for a reunion. Not at all.

So despite Gwen trying to get her claws back into Xander and Brady leaning into Sarah, it does look like we’ve got this endgame goal of seeing Xander ultimately reunite with Sarah. And that may be happening going into the 60th anniversary episodes in November, closer to Christmas.

Days of Our Lives: Philip Kiriakis and Gabi Romance Heats Up

And now let’s talk about Philip getting a love interest once he wakes up from that brotherly bashing that he got from Xander. Our Days leaker says there’s a budding romance coming soon between Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Philip.

For the past several many weeks, if you’re watching, Gabi’s been on the outs with her boyfriend Jack Junior (JJ) Deveraux, and it looks like they’re probably done.

That’s because Gabi was a suspect in EJ’s shooting and actually may still be, and JJ had to grill her about it. He had to, it’s his job. And to be fair, he did catch Gabi at the DiMera mansion with a loaded gun aimed at EJ and he talked her down from shooting him. So, you can’t blame JJ for asking Gabi you know, hey honey, did you shoot EJ. He has to ask. And Gabi is not getting that at all. She’s still lashing out at JJ.

Days of Our Lives: Philip Gets Close to Gabi

Now, Gabi did ask for his help to find Ari this week, but once that was resolved, you know, Gabby’s going to be back to not appreciating JJ. And it feels like the Gabi/JJ ship has sailed. Of course, that’ll make Julie extremely happy because she never wanted JJ to get with her.

So, we’re going to see Philip instead getting close to Gabi. And right now she’s mad that Philip and Xander took over DiMera, which means they took over Gabi Chic, and they’re not going to let her walk away with her company.

But maybe once Philip’s out of the hospital, back to work, he’s going to play nice with Gabi even though they are forcing her to keep her company under the Titan umbrella. And soon, according to our leaker, Philip is romancing Gabi. Now she might get into that to make JJ jealous, but then it’s going to turn into something.

Days of Our Lives:

To sum it up, Xander’s getting chased by Gwen, but isn’t interested. Brady and Sarah have some sort of thing that’ll go nowhere because she’s destined to get back with Xander. And Philip gets hot and heavy with Gabby and also reunites in a brotherly bond with Xander. So, the big winner in all of this, despite this brutal beating that he’s taken, is Philp. He’s going to come out of this with lots of stuff going on good in his life.
