Chef Brad Kilgore & OG Hospitality Group Are Bringing A New Itameshi Dining Experience To Wynwood

Some of Wynwood’s top talent are joining forces to unveil a new kind of cuisine for the city. Andrew Mayer, the Co-Founder of OG Hospitality Group and James Beard nominee and finalist, Chef Brad Kilgore, has debuted an imaginative endeavor where the people of Miami are invited to experience its very first Itameshi concept – Oise Restaurant by Brad Kilgore. Itameshi blends traditional elements of Italian and Japanese cuisine to develop a unique umami flavor. Kilgore puts an impressive and groundbreaking spin on classic Italian dishes using Japanese flavors, ingredients, and techniques.

Following the OG Hospitality Group model, Oise is set to be a cutting-edge, approachable, and budget-friendly establishment. This marks Kilgore’s first foray into quick-service dining since the launch of AlterQ, his BBQ concept introduced during the pandemic. Both entrepreneurs share a deep fondness and enthusiasm for Wynwood, making their collaboration on this new venture a seamless transition. In 2015, Kilgore left a lasting impression on the city with the opening of Alter, and just last year, he introduced the beloved Marygold’s Brasserie. Mayer, on the other hand, brought his California-meets-Hawaiian concept, Poke OG, to the scene with the inception of 1-800-Lucky in 2017, and he has since relocated his establishment to Oasis, along with the addition of a new sushi counter named Miss Crispy Rice.

“I’m a huge fan and advocate for the quick-service model since that’s how I often dine-out because of time constraints and budget,” shared Kilgore. Mayer discovered Itameshi cuisine during his last trip to California and wanted to be the first Miami restaurant to offer these new flavors. He added, “When Andrew approached me about partnering, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to create something approachable, fun, and affordable for all types of audiences. The menu at Oise is all about exploring new flavors without breaking the bank, we want guests to be able to come back for more and more.”

Oise will also be the first Miami restaurant to use pizza from Kilgore’s newest project, Pizza Freak Co. The quality will be highlighted in their Japanese-inspired Itameshi Pizza topped with Italian herbs, scallions, shredded nori, and pickled cherry peppers for $17. The decadent menu highlights also include a Chicken Parm Katsu Sando filled with dashi brined crispy chicken, smoked mozzarella, umami pomodoro, dipping into a caper kewpie-chili crisp, a signature Udon Carbonara folded with jidori egg yolk, black truffle, toasted black sesame, and parmesan and pecorino cheeses.

To complement the dining experience, Chef Kilgore will present a delightful array of frozen Sake Slushies, including a yuzu margarita and a strawberry variation, each infused with sake. In addition to these refreshing options, Oise will offer a diverse selection of sake bottles, thoughtfully curated wines, and a selection of beers.

Oiso Ristorante by Brad Kilgore will be located at 2335 N Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33127. The pop-up will begin on December 21st and continue until early summer of 2024.
